Worth the climb (or the lift!) for the views across the bays. Stunning red and white set against the bluest of skies makes the lighthouse and the beach well worth a visit.

Awesome and amazing place. The sands there are golden in color having river on one side and ocean on another. Various sight seeing places are there like mangroves forest, Mother Mary statue, elephant rock, coconut island, floating restaurant, floating cottages, etc. A must visit place near Trivandrum.

I visited the water fall in December 2020. It was an awesome experience. Nice trekking with their guide. Fee was ₹1500 for 10 persons. We have to carry enough food& water. Trekking was through rocky terrain. Almost 4 hours took for the entire trekking. Waterfalls was so super. But due to corona bathing /playing in water was not allowed. But overall trip was awesome.

Poovar is a small coastal village in the Trivandrum district of Kerala state, South India. This village is almost at the southern tip of Trivandrum and there is only one last village. Pozhiyoor which mark the end of kerala. This village has a beautiful beach and backwater which attracts tourists. There are also some good tourist resorts. Unspoiled and amazingly unexplored.

This attraction which is around 15km from trivandrum, is a must see place. It has two entries. One from down hill (ie, from Sreekaryam kattaikonam road) and other one directly on to the top (form pothenkode- kariyam route). If you prefer to have a soft trek(hardly a km, but on a single rock) , the first one is advisable . This route is more enjoyable too On the base there is Cave temple with Siva as deity. On the top cane overpass is built, You can have a clean view of the city from northern side. Better be there by around 5 to 6 in the evening
