This is a small shop with lots of beautiful things made from buffalo hide. Good place to shop for gifts or for yourself. I inquired about slippers and was told that it was too difficult to stock enough different sizes. Be sure to check out the buffalo beards!

Belly up to the original bar where outlaws from the Hole-In-The-Wall gang once sat, including the infamous Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid! Though spirits are no longer served to patrons, it is a great place to sit and imagine the sights, sounds and smells that once surrounded this icon from the past. Walk through an old town setting where you can peer through the doors and windows of an old general store, doctor & dentist offices, a reconstructed jail, a newspaper & print shop, barber shop and much more. Explore one of the largest Indian artifact collections in Wyoming. The museum also houses several prehistoric artifacts and an amazing display of rocks & minerals. This history of Hot Springs County would not be complete without honoring our veterans. We have cases full of artifacts from area soldiers who served in several conflicts over the years. Check out the museum gift shop for some unique gifts & souvenirs!
Give this museum more stars, it is really an incredible collection they have amassed! We dropped in after a local recommended it, and we were blown away by how many great exhibits they had! The Hole in the Wall bar is pretty amazing to see, and my 10yo really enjoyed the "old Thermopolis" town recreation. What a great place to wander around for an afternoon and reflect on the simpler times!!

We did the Dig for a Day at the Wyoming Dinosaur Center and were blown away! I was worried my 8 and 10 yo would get bored but they were in heaven the whole time. It was so great to geek out as a family. Each family in attendance was taken to their own dig site with their own guide making it a very personal experience. The guides were college interns that were the most polite, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable people you could have asked for. We dug for hours, then went back to the museum for a detailed, private tour, that included behind the scenes. Worth every penny.

We are a cool bookstore and coffee place were many people come to shoot the bull. At times it gets deep, but no one has drowned yet! Oh and the drinks are great!
We love book stores and this one has a wonderful selection, as well as great toys, yummy snacks, and of course, great coffee. Looking forward to returning with our grandkids!

Ava's is a must if you like or love rocks. You learn so much by reading the educational signs posted near all the rocks inside and out. Eddie and Ava are SO knowledgeable and willing to share their expertise. They even encourage folks to bring mystery rocks in for an ID. It's a great place to find affordable dino treasures to send to the grandkids or jewelry made by Ava for yourself or friends.
