Palm Beach has long lured America's big name social elite, from the Kennedys to the Pulitzers to the Trumps. If you don't have the Jaguar, catch a Palm Tram around the city. Opulent extravagance is the order of the day. But if you can take your eyes off the glittering procession of socialites and the prices at Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago Spa and in Worth Avenue stores, there are plenty of other sights to be seen. Don't miss Henry Morrison Flagler Museum or the hopping nightlife on Clematis Street.

When it was completed in 1902, the New York Herald proclaimed that Whitehall, Henry Flagler's Gilded Age estate in Palm Beach, was "more wonderful than any palace in Europe, grander and more magnificent than any other private dwelling in the world." Today, Whitehall is a National Historic Landmark and is open to the public as the Flagler Museum, featuring changing exhibitions and special programs. The 75-room mansion contains many of the original furnishings as well as an art collection. Adjacent to Whitehall, the Flagler Kenan Pavilion houses Henry Flagler's private Railcar No. 91 as well as a seasonal restaurant, the Cafe des Beaux-Arts, which offers a Gilded Age-themed tea service. The Museum Store offers for sale a wonderful collection of books, gifts and memorabilia with a focus on Florida history. Open Tuesday through Sunday.
Well worth a visit despite the fact that the entrance is currently being renovated. This home reminds me of American royalty, if we had such a thing. The admission price includes a self-guided tour you can listen to and also includes Flagler's personal train car. Impressive, especially the dishes used, the enormity of the home, and the numerous decorated/named bedrooms.

A luxury hotel with fantastic views and helpful staff. I enjoyed the history of the hotel and marvelled at the courage and gall of Henry Flagler who built this hotel and whose investments paved the way for tourism in South Florida. Did not enjoy the spa; was not sure if feasible without an appointment plus we were pressed for time sadly. Aesthetically pleasing and quite a Zen experience.

My wife and I love to go to consignment shops to hunt for hidden treasures. We have been making trips to the Palm Beach area for number of years and some of the places we have found bargains in the past seem to have somewhat dried up. Not so for The Church Mouse. We found a beautiful vintage lamp as well as two matching burled wood end tables our minds are nothing short of spectacular.… And the price for these treasures were unbelievably low. Even better… The proceeds from this wonderful store go to charitable causes. If you’re looking for a nice store with Nice merchandise and nice people you should visit The Church Mouse.

This a beautiful Palm Beach Landmark building filled with old hollywood memorabilia & photos. As an added bonus, if you visit on a Sunday morning there is an awesome non denomination church service held in the Chapel area with the warmest friendliest people! Look forward to visiting Paramount Church again just to hear the gifted teaching of Pastor Dwight!
