IMPORTANT: MUSEUM IS OPEN MAY 3rd THROUGH OCTOBER 29th. Built by Jonathan and Grace Fairbanks in 1637, the Fairbanks House is the oldest timber frame house in North America. Eight generations of Fairbanks have lived here until 1904 when it was opened to the public as a historic site and house museum filled with period furnishings owned by Fairbanks descendants.
The Fairbanks House is an outstanding historic site that offers a captivating tour of architecture, social history and cultural life, starting with the original 1637 structure (meticulously preserved with original artifacts), and continuing with several small additions made in the 17th and 18th centuries, equally well maintained and full of period pieces. In each room, our guide highlighted the most significant furnishings, artifacts, construction elements and other details, and entertained us with stories of the interesting Fairbanks family who lived in the house from 1637 to 1904. Our guide was well-informed, articulate, responsive, and generous with his time. In an age of amusement-style historic sites with animation and interactive gadgetry, the Fairbanks House provides a gripping and enlightening tour of history, delivered with intelligence and integrity. Guided tours (the only way to experience the site) are offered on the hour and take about 60 minutes. Highly recommended.

I love this theater and have been here dozens of times. Old time movie house that has the greatest selection of films. Usually the indie films that don't show in the big cinemas. The help is always pleasant and helpful. One can even have a beer or glass of wine and popcorn with real butter. Just don't expect the fancy , plush chairs that are in the modern theaters. Like Siskel and Ebert would say , two thumbs up.

We celebrated our son's birthday at Kings on 1/19/2020. All the kids got settled with their shoes and got to bowling right away. Our server was attentive and brought out all our food when we were ready for it.

We attended a cars and coffee at lava you place and they were having a pre release showing of Ford vs Ferrari as a fundraiser for Martin richards. It was the first time we visited here and what a luxurious place it was! Reclining seats , cup holders , plenty of space between seats... leg room galore and not a bad seat in the house! We loved it!
