WOW what a terrific sweet shop that had all those “lollies” going back 50 years plus. Just love the sample flower presenter you are offered on entry, but be aware this is the trap for the sweet tooth’s in us all! Do go in ,

Sunnyhurst Wines

Family owned and operated boutique vineyard and winery. Awarded numerous medals. Free wine tasting. The property features an early homestead (circa 1890) which is surrounded by substantial gardens containing many beautiful plants including 700 heritage and David Austin roses. Customers are welcome to wander through the gardens. The gardens are a feature of the Festival of Country Gardens held in Bridgetown and surrounding areas in Autumn and Spring (when a small charge applies).

My partner and I loved Sunnyhurst. Whilst waiting for the couple in front of us to finish their wine tasting we were offered to take a stroll around the beautiful garden overlooking their vineyards. The wines are simply amazing, a favourite still hasn't been chosen, it's just too hard. We will definitely be back for more and are looking forward to the wine we purchased. We enjoyed getting to know Marie-Pierre and look forward to our return, thank you!

Brierley Jigsaw Gallery

A Gallery that showcases jigsaws has to be unique, this remarkable collection is housed in a room at the rear of the Visitor Centre. Reputed to showcase the largest and smallest jigsaws, its worth visiting to marvel at the intriguing topics that engaged people for countless hours. Definitely far more challenging that those that I assembled as a young lad when a 500 piece jigsaw presented a challenge. Good lighting enhances the mounted displays.

The Rabbit Hole

The Rabbit Hole Bridgetown has been designed as a space for art play…. for experimentation with the creative process in all it’s forms….and then the sharing of that art with the wider community. 9 artist studios for the public to watch artists at work and buy art direct from the creator. Plus the Foyer Gallery with an ever changing round of exhibitions of local art AND the cutest little bookshop in the south-west featuring all the best of written art in pre-loved books. The rabbit in Alice in Wonderland is a metaphor for a new idea, concept or opportunity. Following the rabbit down the rabbit hole represents following that new idea, concept or creative pursuit solely for the excitement of discovery and adventure. Even though Alice isn’t sure where that following will lead her, she’s enthralled enough in it’s originality to pursue it without question. Come down the Rabbit Hole and see for yourself Bridgetown's biggest surprise

We chanced upon this quirky place and just loved it. It is down stairs and has local arts and crafts on display. We met 2 lovely local people who were happy to chat about the work on show. Out the back was a wonderful display of wood sculptures made with charcoal resin moulds. Absolutely remarkable. They deserve a special parkland for them to be displayed well. Well worth a visit. The attached bookstore was terrific.
