Springfield Estate Winery

Springfield Estate is a family owned wine estate situated in the Western Cape of Southern Africa. The Bruwers are descended from the French Hugenots and have been farming this land for five generations. At Springfield Estate, we are passionate about our craft. We believe that our name is our most precious possession, and our motto, Made On Honour, applies to every facet of our being. Our wine at Springfield Estate is made from single vineyards, mostly using natural yeast. This allows the character and the individuality of the grape to truly show itself. Due to our natural yeast fermentation, we strive to work as naturally as possible, both in the vineyard and the cellar.

This is one of Robertson's best-kept secrets. Beautiful venue and relaxing atmosphere. The ladies are charming and a great source of information about the wine and the area. The wine is delicious and the complimentary olives are the best we ever had. A must visit.

Lord's Wines

Lord's Wines was established in 2006 where viticulturist, Jacie Oosthuizen, turned his love for wine and cricket into a cellar. The whole concept is based on the Lord's cricket ground in London. High up on the northern slopes of the mountains surrounding Robertson, in the lush Mc Gregor valley, you will stumble across a gravel road that will lead you on the road to nowhere. At the end of this striking rainbow, you will find Lord’s Wines, cradled amidst fynbos and Proteas. At 500m above sea level, where the vineyards are the highest in the Robertson Valley, a breathtaking panoramic view made the call to establish Lord’s. This cooler climate and real terroir, where nature’s bounty has chosen high altitude for cooler temperatures, where sun, water, soil and slopes are melded, work in perfect harmony to produce cultivars like Pinot Noir, Shiraz and Chardonnay.

I fund the staff very organised and proffessional. We booked the cruise on line and 10 min before the departure, as they couldn't see us, they gave us a call to make sure we do not miss the ride. We arrived on time to board for a lovely and peacfull cruise on Breede river. A very relaxing activity to do while in Robertson.
