Jordan (/ˈdʒɔːrdən/; Arabic: الْأُرْدُنّ Al-‘Urdunn [al.ʔur.dunn]), officially The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan (Arabic: المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية Al-Mamlakah Al-Urdunnīyah Al-Hāshimīyah), is a sovereign Arab state in western Asia, on the East Bank of the Jordan River. Jordan is bordered by Saudi Arabia to the south, Iraq to the north-east, Syria to the north, Israel and Palestine to the west. The Dead Sea lies along its western borders and the country has a small shoreline on the Red Sea in its extreme south-west, but is otherwise landlocked. Jordan is strategically located at the crossroads of Asia, Africa and Europe. The capital, Amman, is Jordan's most populous city as well as the country's economic, political and cultural centre.

Allow yourself a *minimum* of two hours to visit this Museum - it gives an excellent comprehensive account that reflects Jordan’s history and culture, its people and its precious relics. The Dead Sea Scrolls are priceless! Make sure you go up to the first floor to take part in the interactive invitations....

Visited La Storia as part of a religious pilgrimage of over 60 to Mt. Nebo. Stopped here. Bought beautiful mosaics. (Sister-"Okhti") Sofia served delicious ice cream and coffee for our group. Professional service with a smile from everyone. Mosaic prices and quality were as good or better than others seen in Jordan, West Bank, or Israel.

We were passing by and as this museum is in Jordan pass we stop. In museum are wxihits from this region and we and our kids seen something about life near Dead see. We also drive up to Lot's cave, where we saw basilica and nice mosaic.
