OK as a 2-star new-ish hotel. Very basic facilities. There is TV, fridge, wifi. Only toiletry given was soap. Staff were as helpful as they can be. The worst aspect is location - it seems in the middle of nowhere, and impossible without a car. There is nowhere to eat especially at night. Breakfast very basic Thai style. At check-out, money was just collected with no receipt and no evidence of the stay - suspicious.

The location is around 10 minute from the city. Opposite to big shopping mall and need to go into small road. The hotel is new and clean. The room is decorated in loft style. Breakfast is average. It is reasonable price to stay.

Petit Paramata was situated near the river . We were close to the famous Wat Yai . It was only 15 min walking distance. It took a while for us to locate Petit Paramata as the sign post of the place was not obvious. Trees jutting out the road that block our view. There was a front yard before the main entrance and it was locked . At last , we found a cafe next to the building. Oh , bingo , it was the reception area. We were greeted by a lady who served us cool drinks. It tasted particularly good after long day under the sun. Our room was on the upper floor . To our amazement, it was more like a tree house . Room was clean and spacious. Good enough for the two of us. We found it out the next morning that , the breakfast served was really great ! Great ! Great there! Good taste , good display and good serving! We stayed there for 5 nights and we had tried 5 different styles of cuisines for breakfast . Every morning was the good start of the day. It was also found that Petit Paramata was run by several sisters. Bao , one of the sisters , who spoke fluent French and English, she helped as to plan the schedules of our trip for the area. As our trip included one night stay in Khao Kho . She suggested us to hire a car with driver to go for the 2 day and 1 night trip. Our tour to Khao Khao also include the Phu Hin Rong Kla National Park as well. Guided by a Hmong people in the national park, he spoke his language and we spoke ours . The only word we understood from him was he knew about our chairman Mao... but overall , we had a wonderful time. Oh , there was a ‘hot pot restaurant ‘ next to Petit Paramata. Where we had very good garlic rice there too. They used charcoal stove for the hot pot. A lot varieties of vegetables, slices of beef and 2 glass bottles of coke which were good enough for two person cost us not more than 200 bahts...... unexpectedly cheap and delicious... There were still a lot about Petit Paramata. There was a pantry at the corner of the garden. A nice retreat after a tiring day under the sun. I used to sit and sip my cup of tea there in the evening . The owner of the place was so generous to fill up the fridge with biscuits, drinks and snacks. So you don’t have to go to bed with an empty stomach. Also ,the place was beautifully decorated. One would feel really at home of the place...... oh , about the garden , orchids , trees , stone crafted tortoise, a lot of gardening ..... amazingly good good good there .... In fact , what matter much of the place is that we felt much at home there , we had lovely and knowledgeable owners. Bao and her sisters were eager to share their ideas with every guest . They are nice , warm and attentive . I think I’d visit Phitsanulok again just for the lovely ladies .....

Went to Hattha Spa based on recommendations of my local team and it was a great experience, nice location close to the airport. The spa is clean and the masseuses are very profesional, one of the best massages i had in SE Asia, highly recommended
