Nice tour and bus driver very friendly but bus was jigging around and near impossible to take photos from the top deck as seemed to be going too fast to get a decent photo...nice bruises to show for it but did enjoy it ..

3. Lavenham: Discover the Tudor side of life on this medieval audio walking tour

40 Church St, Lavenham, Sudbury CO10 9SA, UK VoiceMap London

This is THE walk for those people who have always wanted to walk along enough medieval streets to make up a whole medieval village. Maybe your interest in old timbered buildings was awakened by Tolkien or Harry Potter? Every street leads to the Market Square and every street has timbered houses along the route. It is one of those places that you visit once and then fall in love with. Even on the bleakest of days, there are people looking around the streets. Having been brought up in the area I have collected various stories about these buildings. Here I share such stories in an audio tour. This is a tour where the Tudor wool traders start to be more than words in a book. The Dukes of Oxford (the De Vere family) and the wealthiest commoners in England rubbed shoulders in these streets 900 years ago. We seek out the clues that they left behind over the centuries to get a glimpse into their lives.

Inclusions: Lifetime access to this tour in English, VoiceMap App for Android and iOS, Offline access to audio, maps, and geodata

Exclusions: Smartphone and headphones, Transportation, Food and drink, Tickets or entrance fees to any museums or other attractions en route

Once downloaded it appeared to start at a set time...why?? We downloaded in advanced so missed half an hour before we started. My wife had trouble with hers cutting out and after a short while gave up. I found it hard to set up and would not call it user friendly. If there was a way to go back to the start I certainly couldn't find it.

Our flight was piloted by Chris. He was very informative and polite and took us over the Isle of White, the beach, Weymouth. The actual experience was AMAZING!! Everywhere we went he told us about it and the experience itself was amazing. I highly recommend this as it is definitely an experience you will never forget, one reason for that is that he handed me the controls and I FLEW THE PLANE! Everything was nice, chilled, very safe and easy. Overall, couldn't have been better ????
