Great natural sea pools, views from the waterfalls and quiet! Some nice options to eat fresh fish also.

We drove until we couldn't drive any farther north and found ourselves at a very picturesque point of Flores at a large concrete structure that is the lighthouse. The doors were open and the wind seem to push us in as we battled it from the car to the instantly calm atrium. We were inspecting some antique machinery when a strong and tall young sailor came rushing out asking how we got in. He seemed a little alarmed and then to himself said, 'well it's the end of the road it's only natural you would be curious.' Seeing we were harmless tourists he then proceeded to explain that the lighthouse was closed but offered a quick tour since we had come a long way. That turned into a comprehensive and very interesting explanation of the lighthouse, it's workings and the culture of the island itself. The sailor was super intelligent and insightful beyond his years and we greatly enjoyed the lighthouse and his hospitality. I believe it's worth the drive out just for the views but if you are lucky enough to meet a sailor on post I would recommend the tour and an open conversation which is much of what any tourist can ask for.
