Built in 1939, the Little Chapel has been named one of Texas’ 20 most outstanding architectural achievements; it was designed by the late O’Neil Ford. TWU art students designed the stained glass windows which depict the theme "Woman Ministering to Human Needs".
I went because of the architect Mr. O'neil Ford. A famous architect in TX and the Southwest. He designed "The Tower of Americas, La Vilata, 26 buildings at Trinity University all in San Antonio and lots more. He grew up in Denton, got an education in Denton and returned to Denton after a very successful career. I was not disappointed!! Charming on the outside and a mini-cathedral inside. Beautiful!!!!!! For weddings...Perfect, soooo nice and intimate with preparation rooms on either side of the pulpit and Easy to find. Right in the shadow of the 2 Towers. Can't miss them. Parking is 100 yards away. During Covid you need an appointment. Worth the stop.
