Nadia is incredibly passionate about Venice and her love of her city shows through. My family and another family (4 adults, 3 children) spent four hours with her - three walking around and one on a boat. I told her we had been to Venice multiple times over the years and wanted to bypass the 'typical' tourist sites. I laid a desire for a theme (history and Venice as the natives see it) and she prepared a wonderful tour. Her pacing was spot on and the tour kept building until the very end. She set the ending time to conclude with an on-the-water view of St Mark's Square. Both families were incredibly impressed and kept talking about the tour long into the evening and next day. She kept the interest of children and adults alike. I can't recommend her enough. Please find her at friendinvenice dot com and send her an email. Whether you've been to Venice a thousand times or this is your first visit -- you'll learn something new and see parts you've never seen before. Bravo, Nadia!

What a trip! Adam, our driver, was fabulous. Nothing was too much trouble for him. The day went according to plan and we had marvellous visits to both the extensive complex of Villa Adriana and then taken up the hill to Villa d’Este and its magnificent water gardens. Thoroughly recommend this out of Rome trip although pre-trip communication from the local provider could be improved.

Most of us only know marble as the final product in the chain of consumption. However there exists a pulsing heart of its origins. Beneath the Apuan Alps in the city of Carrara, there lie the caves of which Michelangelo, Donatello and Bernini shopped from for their materials and where their sculptures were born. Head up the steep roads, to the highest peaks to awaken your sights through the magnificent and unique scenery at 1000 meters altitude. Where a perfectly laid table awaits us with local ingredients to delight your taste. The beautiful sounds of the violin to intrigue your hearing. Before leaving, a famous sculptor will follow your first steps in the world of sculpture, starting from a raw and inanimate marble piece until your first “artwork”, gifting you the opportunity to “caress” different finishing stages of the same sculpture. The air and aromas that dance under your nose will become imbedded in your mind and heart. The rest of the experience follows this harmonic tune.
Inclusions: Lessons by famous sculptors , Hostess and relations coordinator, Hotel discount for nightly stay, Land Rover Defender Tour , Food and drink tasting at marble caves, Pick up from nearby airports
Exclusions: A special price is included as my guest, Hotel , Full course dinner at the best restaurant along the luxurious Tuscan Riviera
Definetly a must you should do when traveling, Emy took us to the best serving Napolitana pizza place in Rome were we ordered a couple of white wine bottles and started talking about interesting things about wine, pizzas, and historical things (enjoying and laughing was also part of the menu). Rooftops and bar hoping was the desert of the night were we found amazing views of Rome and some nice cocktails. Highly recommended !!!!!!
Shop through botteghe and tiny shops and find artisanal souvenir and objects 100% made in Italy, listening to the story of these businesses often started by family members who transmitted their knowledge to others with passion and love for their work. Venice, in addition to being a city of art, has always been a city of artisan excellence and creative talent. For more than 1,000 years the hands of masterful Venetian craftsmen have been creating precious and refined objects: mosaics, glassware, fabrics, jewellery and perfumes. Even today, Venice is brimming with ancient know-how that cannot be found elsewhere in the world. Innovative boutiques and concept stores are flanked by artisan studios, where masterpieces in glassware, pearl, gold, paper, and leather are created; there are even ateliers of historic masks and costumes, artistic kilns, antique tailoring and weaving workshops, woodworking shops and printing studios, graphic design studios where unique products can be found.
Inclusions: Tour Leader & Nature and Interpretive Guide
Exclusions: gratuities
Very fun walking food tour of Venice. Adair was super helpful and informative about the history and culture of the city while we tried a lot of delicious food. The tour was easy even with COVID restrictions. Highly recommend!
