The world's only Museum of balalaika. Unique private collection of rare balalaika from the beginning of the 20th century, master's musical equipment, carpentry workshop. Guests are invited to immerse themselves in the world of traditional Russian music, hear the sounds of a real peasant balalaika and shocking facts about them. You will learn to play the balalaika in 15 minutes! The atmosphere is complemented by the Museum's tea room, where you can taste tea made from mixes of useful herbs and berries collected in the Ulyanovsk region, with traditional bread, jam and original desserts. The Museum is located at -19 Bebel street (2nd floor); in a two-story brick house built in 1908 as a residential building, and is a cultural heritage site of the city. Excursions without an appointment-from Tuesday to Sunday from 11: 00 to 17: 00. Visiting the Museum on Monday is by prior arrangement. On Friday and Saturday after 18:00, the Museum hosts acoustic concerts and electronic music.
