The Maldon Market is a monthly farmers and makers market that brings together the very best hand made products and local produce from independent designers, artisans, craftspeople, gourmet food makers, growers and farmers.
After an early morning mountain bike ride from Maldon, down to Castlemaine and return, we couldn't wait to get to the Farmers Market to fill up our hungry tummies with steamed dim sims and dumplings from the Tastes of the Orient tent at the farmers market. Sooo delicious! We sat and enjoyed them while listening to beautiful acoustic guitar music from a young man with a gorgeous deep voice singing a good variety of upbeat and also melancholic songs in the rotunda. Enjoyed coffee, truffles, bought some sour dough bread and some herb seedlings. Chatted to the friendly walnut grower and the lovely Harcourt honey lady. Wandered through the shops of Maldon. Cute day out. Real treat.
