Adventure to the unique site of Kohunlich, once the center of commerce and politics of the region. This is a less visited site but it is probably the most important for archaeologists as it has a original style of achitecture and many different buildings open to the sight. Admire the monumental masks portraying the ancient royalty of the clasical maya period. Immerse in the lush jungle of corozo trees and amazing tropical trees. Great opportunity to see wildlife.

The tour started at the port in a small van, but the van wasn’t that nice like other tour groups use (close seats, etc). The tour guide was attentive and narrated the ride to the site in passable English. Glad we weren’t in a big bus tour, as our party of 10 could move around and avoid the mobs.

Very good experience to some of the lesser known mayan ruins. The place was almost desolated and we could enjoy the ruins with only the jungle sounds. Our guide Alondra was knowledgeable and nice, and the transport was clean and on time. Highly recomended

Eric was such a great guide for our trip. Very nice and welcoming. He drove us to the ruins, to a spicy sauces tasting, to the beach. We had the chance to buy some fresh and delicious fruits. We had such a great time. Eric was awesome!
This is our new experience that we have for you, we guarantee that it will be the best day break in all your vacations. The private beach of ¨Xahuayxol¨ is 27 km away from the Costa Maya port, or 35 minutes by car and this is one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean. For each couple or group of people traveling together, you will be assigned a rustic cabin, with a bed, bathroom and dressing room for the duration of your stay. You can observe how our chef prepares food over low heat, and you can learn some secrets of Mexican food. The name of the place is "Xahuayxol", which is a word in the Mayan language, which means "garden in the sea", this is because it is surrounded by the barrier reef, which you can meet in one of our kayaks and snorkel.
Inclusions: Air-conditioned vehicle, Use of Snorkelling equipment, Lunch, Soda/Pop, Bottled water, Coffee and/or Tea
Exclusions: Alcoholic Beverages
We were a little nervous about booking from an outside link instead of the cruise excursion but this turned out to be the best thing we did. We rented the motorized bikes and were able to go anywhere and see anything with out a group or time restriction. Highly recommend doing this.
