Pyeongchon Village, located at the northern foot of the Mudeungsan Mountain, is a quiet farming village that consists of four smaller “nature villages.” Running through the center of the village is Pungamcheon Stream, a habitat for fireflies, which are no longer found in urban areas. The village is also home to the otter, a Korean natural symbol and flagship species of Mudeungsan Mountain.
