The crown jewels, Buckingham Palace, Camden Market…in London, history collides with art, fashion, food, and good British ale. A perfect day is different for everyone: culture aficionados shouldn't miss the Tate Modern and the Royal Opera House. If you love fashion, Oxford Street has shopping galore. For foodies, cream tea at Harrod’s or crispy fish from a proper chippy offers classic London flavor. Music and book buffs will love seeing Abbey Road and the Sherlock Holmes Museum (at 221B Baker Street, of course).

I visited the tower as a child in the 60s, for meetings regularly in the 90s and more recently for open house and private visits. This visit was in July 2019. The lift is fast and fun to travel in multiple times. The staircase is also very good and if you ge a change to visit some offices take the opportunity. The revolving platform is the best bit. I miss it being a restaurant open to the public but it is still a great space. When I visited there was gin, wine tastings and an excellent buffet meal. I was there from mid afternoon until sunset. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. I even had the chance to press the button that makes it rotate!

London's Oxford Street spells action where you can shop 'til you drop along England's most famous shopping street, drop into one of the many pubs for a tasty ale or catch the latest musical at the theater.
Oxford Street is connected to Regent Street, Old Bond Street and New Bond Street and if you are a shopaholic, then this is your place to be. Oxford Street starts at the southern end of Tottenham Court Road and you work your way westward to Marble Arch by walking and looking in the various types of shops along the way including department stores.. If you like walking, shopping and eating out - then this is the place for you.....make sure you wear a strong pair of walking shoes. Not for the faint hearted.
