Fabulous. Well worth the visit. Views are spectacular and the climb is very pleasant. We very much enjoyed The Hill of Kessog

Callendar is a lovely area to explore. Nice shops and lovely views. The church is beautiful and in the centre of the town. There is also a nice walk along the river Teith by the car park. When we visited the river had burst its banks so please be careful.

It is not a glacial erratic, there is an almost identical stone some 25 miles away at Crieff, (mica schist on conglomerate) which is at the centre of 29 ancient sites and has a carved footprint and water basin on top. Both stones are on top of the Highland Boundary Fault and both are 350 yards away from vitrified forts. The forts themselves are on top of the HBF.
