Barrie is a city, and manifesting regional centre in Central Ontario, Canada, pleasantly positioned on the shores of Kempenfelt Bay, the western arm of Lake Simcoe. The city is located in, and county seat of Simcoe County, however is considered politically independent. It is part of the historically significant Huronia region of Central Ontario, and is within the northern part of the Greater Golden Horseshoe, a densely populated and industrialized region of Ontario.

Our family has walked in Sunnidale Park for over 2 decades. Beautiful and peaceful. The park is a great training area for XC running.

Beautiful park. Very welcoming for out of towners. Barrie citizens and the whole park neighbourhood seem to be very warm to visitors with large families with children. A short trip from Brampton area (400) or Scarborough (404). Nice little beach with playgrounds nearby, clean facilities etc. BBQ and cooking is allowed and welcome. Very friendly staff
