Witham /ˈwɪtəm/ is a town in the county of Essex in the East of England, with a population (2011 census) of 25,353. It is part of the District of Braintree and is twinned with the town of Waldbröl, Germany. Witham stands between the city of Chelmsford (8 miles to the south-west) and the town of Colchester (13 miles to the north-east), on the Roman road between the two. The River Brain runs through the town and joins the River Blackwater just outside.

Just had a Sunday carvery at the oaks and it was amazing. Choice of beef, pork or turkey (you can have all three) great choice of veg and all the staff were lovely. Will definitely be returning when in Essex again

Attended a Christmas party on Friday at this venue. My party and I were very impressed. The evening had a great atmosphere. Staff were polite and friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Defiantly consider for next year!!
WITHAM BOWLS CLUB, a well established outdoor sporting venue is situated in central Witham. The Club was founded in 1904 and moved in 1921 to its current location in pleasant and tranquil surroundings in Collingwood Road.
