This was by far, the best golf experience of the courses I played in the Virginia Beach area. Tom Doak did a masterful job designing the layout. Check in was a breeze and the folks in the clubhouse and the 19th hole were great. The driving range was closed due to the wet weather but the putting and chipping greens were open and great. The layout winds through wetlands by the river with an occasional large houses off to the sides and out of play. The bunkering is top notch with beautiful shapes surrounding the greens and along many of the fairways. Due to the recent heavy rains, many of the bunkers had standing water. Some of the tees were rough due to the winter but other than that the course was in great shape, including excellent cart paths. There were several scenic forced carries over water and wetlands, which I found very intimidating but I did okay. The greens were awesome, not too fast but challenging with many tiers, ridges, and run offs.

Cedar Point Club is located at the confluence of the Nansemond and James Rivers in North Suffolk, Virginia. The Civil War ironclads, Monitor and Merrimac, battled in the waters of Hampton Roads just outside the clubhouse windows. Since its founding in 1964, Cedar Point has evolved into one of the premier country club environments in Southeast Virginia. The crown jewel of the club is the recently 18 hole championship golf course, renovated in 2004.The course is immaculately maintained with greens that are fast and true. Well groomed bunkers and attractive landscaping reflect the conscientiousness of the caretakers. The golf course is challenging and presents plenty of temptations to the more polished golfer while also providing many tee options for golfers of all skill levels.

Ride includes an arena orientation explaining how to safely and comfortably enjoy your horseback riding experience. From the arena we transition to our pastures, and finally a cool wooded trail.
Joe was great. He kept everything relaxed and fun, yet safe, for me and my family. The horses and other animals are well cared for and loved. Great to see that. Joe is a fun guy.. we had a good time and highly recommend you visit!
