Cafayate (Spanish pronunciation: [kafaˈʒate]) is a town located at the central zone of the Valles Calchaquíes in the province of Salta, Argentina. It sits 1,683 metres (5,522 ft) above mean sea level, at a distance of 189 kilometres (117 mi) from Salta City and 1,329 kilometres (826 mi) from Buenos Aires. It has about 12,000 inhabitants (2001 census [INDEC]).

Just walking around while you are alone in this amazing mini landscape feels privileged. Was there in the late afternoon. Not exactly knowing were to go. Suppose every path you go leads you to a part of the sand hill. Beautiful desert landscapes and in the background the mountains.

Rafael and Alejandro, the owners of BIKE RN40, receive the customers right in front his small business, Helpful, courteous, they advise which bike will fit the customer’s need. Plenty of models, all bikes are well kept and secure. Cafayate is a place to visit by bike! And RN 40 will help you to do that. I visited RN 40 with my 12 year old son, Rafael brought several models to fit, So he could choose the best one to his height and structure, and we left with 3 excellent bikes to a bike ride through the vineyards till the sunset... unforgettable experience! While in Cafayate, I strongly recommend Bike rides, Rafa & Ale will help you.
