Windward Balloon Adventures

Windward Balloon Adventures offers guests the enchanting experience of a deluxe sunrise balloon flight over the picturesque Avon Valley! Your adventure begins just before sunrise in the departure lounge of the Windward ballooning hangar at the Northam Airfield. Once aboard the balloon, your pilot will run through vital in-flight Information including balloon safety and the importance of ballast! We wait a few moments for some final happy snaps and a quick wave to the ground crew before the balloon is released and we drift gently towards the clouds. Once aloft enjoy the spectacle of seeing the first signs of dawn shed light over the Avon Valley, a glorious patchwork of colours. Drifting over the valley for up to an hour allows you plenty of time to take in the panoramic views of this rural landscape with its rolling hills, lush green fields and meandering streams. Celebrate in style with champagne and breakfast after your flight.

Beverley Soaring Society

The sport of gliding is an exhilarating, spectacular yet serene flying experience. Gliders take to the air like birds with wings outstretched, soaring on rising air currents, immersed in three dimensional space and flying silently without an engine, with an eagle’s view of the world. The Beverley Soaring Society is the largest gliding club in Western Australia and is less than two hours scenic drive from Perth. You can book online for an Air Experience Flight. Flying with a qualified instructor, you can get the feel of the glider's controls yourself or just admire the amazing views. Bring your family and friends to watch and take photos from the launch/landing point. Combine gliding with a visit to the historic Beverley and York townships.

We've recently been lucky enough to get a sneak peak at the revived Toodyay Fairytale Farm. We can't wait to go again when the whole park is completed at the end of February 2019
