We drove to the top car park (€6 - totally reasonable considering the excellent upkeep and detailed information boards); the view from the top is stunning. We took turns walking down to the other viewing spots with our little boy (one walking with him, the other driving the car). The information boards are very well done, information on the sites but also local history. Truly our favourite experience of our day trip on Valentia Island! Highly recommended.

We are a Visitor Centre dedicated to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Skellig Michael. Our Centre teaches you all the history and archaeology of the island through recreations, exhibition items and an ausio visual. We have a fully licensed restaurant onsite where you can enjoy a relaxing meal while overlooking the beautiful fishing village of Portmagee. We also have FREE onsite coach/car parking facilities and a gift shop. During the Summer months we offer cruises out to Skellig Michael. You can choose from our around sea cruise or our landing tours. We would love to welcome you to our Visitor Centre!
Staff are so helpful especially Lisa she replied to my Facebook message very quickly. We got lovely stuff in the gift shop, really enjoyed being a tourist for the day!

Myself and our partner did a staycation around Kerry, Glanleam House was our last stop, we stayed one night and I actually wish we stayed here the whole time! We absolutely fell in love with this place, the owners are so lovely and friendly and are great hosts. We stayed in a room with a sea view, and the room was beautiful. It was spotless and the furniture is old it's fabulous, bed was very comfy too. There's no TV in the room but we enjoyed getting away from the real world for a night. This is such a charming place, the children who live here make lovely welcoming signs. We went for a walk around the gardens, they are a bit overgrown but we found that was what made them so amazing, like a jungle, we were amazed. Breakfast in the morning was in a fabulous drawing room, and the pancakes and bacon were just gorgeous! I cannot recommend this place enough for a peaceful getaway, we will most definitely be coming back here. We loved it. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.
