Mt. Arunachala is considered the mountain that desolves the ego. To be there and feel the vibration is an amazing experience that is a must for the one seeking to let go of the ego. It was the place of the holy man, Ramana and the Ashram that is build in his memory is a place where a lot of spiritual activity is happening year round.

This place is magical and the calming effect it has on our body and mind is unique. Bhagavan Ramana Maharishi himself is still there in this cave was the feeling I received as soon as I reached. The divine experience and vibrations of the surroundings have left me spellbound cant wait to be there again.

Tough & Nice trek. There around 1200+ Steps and then old hill starts which is full of Stones & Rocks. Then comes the steep trek which is about 500 Feet Mountain where we can walk on Iron steps and rocks only with the help of iron rods mounted on rocks. It was thrilling experience and enjoyment. We can do Abhishegam to Lord Siva. We carried milk, honey, rose water & Ganges water and did Abhishegam, which was an excellent experience.

After our temple visit in thiruvannamali, we went to this reservoir. i was visiting for the first time. The reservoir has so much of parks, children play area and statues around. We went during december, so the water level was full and had a nice view. the surrounding is very scenic and greenery. There is a crocodile bank which is must visit. Since the reservoir is a bit isolated into villages, we couldnt see much visitors even on weekends. But we should appreciate the staffs who are maintaining it very well. Good thing about this reservoir is one can go upto the top by car and park and then can walk on the dam to view the water level in reservoir. these days, in many reservoir they dont allow i guess. If initiatives are taken to popularize this reservoir, it will for sure pull visitors in volumes. Go for it!
