We rode 20 miles, 10 out 10 back. Lots of shade. Not to difficult, no big inclines. Well maintained, no trash. A really nice way to start the day.

Kids' Corner playground

Reviewed By mgm291 - New Boston, United States

Visited on Memorial weekend and even though the beaches and local shops were all packed, there was plenty of room for the kiddos to roam. The kids loved it. We have an 11, 9 and 8 year old and all three had a blast. There is plenty of room for adults too to sit on the outskirts at a picnic table or bring a blanket and find some grass under a tree. There was a birthday party and a couple of family gatherings occurring while we were there but there was still plenty of room and the kids loved the playground. If you have kids, Kids' Corner should be on your list of things to do while visiting South Haven.

Van Buren Trail State Park

Vanburen Trail is paved from Maple St in South Haven to the VanBuren State Park which has swimming camping etc. That length of the trail is paved for anything non motorized. The trail also splits, in a non paved section and goes to Hartford Michigan

Fully paved trail. You do have to cross blue star hwy twice... so if you are with young families - be sure to have an adult in the front of your group.

South Beach

Stunning views and still lots of sand! So many beaches along Lake Michigan are eroded with the high water over the last few years. This beach still has lots of sand and room for walking quite a distance on the beach. Enjoyed the crashing waves and a walk out to the lighthouse on a beautiful fall day! Playground on the beach is also a great addition!!
