At the shore in Miami Beach, visitors can swim, surf and jet ski in the warm and crystal-clear Atlantic waters. You can also nap on the white sands, work on a tan or simply watch the beautiful people, especially at South Beach, a favorite of models and celebrities.

Since 1970, Art Basel's goal has been to connect the world's premier galleries and their patrons, as well serving as a meeting point for the international art world. Now, over forty years later, its three fairs - in Basel, Hong Kong and Miami Beach rank as the premier shows of their kind, presenting 20th and 21st century art with a strong curatorial perspective. In our American show, leading galleries from North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia and Africa show significant work from the masters of Modern and contemporary art, as well the new generation of emerging stars. Paintings, sculptures, installations, photographs, films, and editioned works of the highest quality are on display in the main exhibition hall. Ambitious large-scale artworks, films and performances become part of the city's outdoor landscape at nearby Collins Park and SoundScape Park.
My favorite week in Miami is the first week of December, ART BASEL! Everyone from the art world comes to Miami during this week. It's epic!!

Miami Beach’s contemporary art museum, featuring changing exhibitions of international contemporary art, a café, shop and programs for the entire family.
After a professional development event, I went to Rosetta Bakery for breakfast and then walked along Collins Avenue to this tiny, beautiful museum in Collins Park. It has great exhibitions showcasing mostly contemporary art. You can also admire there “The Coronation of the Virgin”, a collaboration between Botticelli and Ghirlandaio but hurry up, because in 2020 this masterpiece will travel to Paris on loan.
ArtCenter/ South Florida is free and open to the public and offers exhibitions of contemporary artwork as well as opportunities to visit with artists in their studios. Fee-based classes and workshops in a variety of artistic mediums are also offered at this location, year-round.
