With a genuinely warm welcome, a terrific bed, heavenly pillows and delicious home-style cooking and a fun bar scene awaiting, we just have to ask, “What’s keeping you?” If you’re looking for lodging in The Dalles, you won’t find a better experience in the I-84 corridor. We are ideally located for hard working crews, road weary Columbia business travelers, sports teams out to compete, as well as Gorge sportsmen and women, hikers, bikers, shoppers, wind jockeys and kite surfers – Cousins’ Country Inn is a soft place to lay your head and rejuvenate your spirit. You’d be hard-pressed to find someone in the area who doesn’t have great things to say about Cousins’ Restaurant. We’re a hometown favorite and a must-stop for regular wayfarers travelling the Columbia River Gorge. A great nights sleep and a great meal – isn’t that what you’re looking for?
We always stay at Cousins when we visit this area and they never disappoint. The rooms are clean, comfortable and the restaurant has always had excellent food. We look forward to our stays at Cousins.

WE ARE OPEN! Due to COVID 19 some temporary modifications have been made in the breakfast option and other hotel amenities. Please call for more details. If you or your friends are in the area and looking for accommodations, we will be happy to host you. The Shilo Inns The Dalles is situated on the Columbia River off Interstate 84 overlooking The Dalles Dam. The Dalles offers visitors grand beauty, clear skies and sunny weather. Experience Shilo's special brand of hospitality and free amenities when you stay in any of the 112 rooms, many with a river view or outdoor deck. Kids under 18 always stay free with an adult at Shilo Inns. Dogs welcome with nominal fee.
First, be wary of outfits claiming to be the hotel itself. Reservations.com is not to be trusted. We booked through them unknowingly for $107 night. Actual was $167 with fees and taxes. The hotel itself should be bulldozed. No hangers in the room, sink was broken, only two dim lights in the bedroom, a toilet that flushed every 20 minutes during the night, sliding door to the deck that hardly slides, threadbare linens… We’d been better off in Motel 6. No, we didn’t complain, we’re writing this review instead. It’s just paying attention that irks us.

This Super 8 seemed a little less than what we've experienced at other locations. The room and bathroom were clean and OK. The bed was a little hard - not the best mattress we've seen among Super 8. The Wyndham app did not get our reservation in as expected, but the desk clerk took care of us and that worked out ok. Later when trying to get ice, the machine was not working. The clerk did not mention that there was another machine. I found that out the next morning. I would say this stay is OK, but next time, I might go further down the road.

Housekeeping likes to knock before you've even checked out which was a bit frustrating. Other than that they were great. Minimunof200minimumof200minimumof200 Minimumof200minimumof200minimumof200 Minimum

When we arrived the man in the office was not friendly. My husband ask if he had some coffee made? He didn't answer him. And he said something about how early I had booked, I told him I book early so I know I can get a room where I want. He did say, well that's alright. As for as the room it was clean, with toaster oven & coffee pot combined, Microwave & frig. Very nice shower. Floor was a bit squeaky.
