Overall, I had a decent stay here in April 2022. I would return, though I'd check similar options in the area first. Here are my thoughts: GOOD - The room was reasonably clean. That's what matters more than anything. - Its not a new construction, as you can see in some ways; but it has been taken care of well. - Easily accessible from I-90. - Albertsons is practically next-door, for any food/grocery needs. - Less than a mile from University of Montana. NEUTRAL - If you care about the "fitness room" - it has 3-4 cardio machines, and an ab-crunch bench. That's it. BAD - The walkup rate was very high for a Comfort Inn. I'm not sure if this is the new post-Covid price hikes we see in many services, or if there was a convention in town, etc. I suppose if they are fully booked for whatever reason, raising the rate is normal. I don't blame the inn for this; its just business. The daily rate even now seems to fluctuate to 3x on some days. - Housekeeping insisted on cleaning my room before I checked out, and kept badgering me on when I would leave. Like many inns, they are pushed by management to get everything done quickly, even at the expense of the guest experience. They were vacuuming the hallway and making noise non-stop from 7am to 4pm. - Breakfast room: the girl tending to things was also "over-motivated" and tried to snatch my waffle out of my hands and do it her way. Very rude. Also, there were guests taking up tables long after their breakfast was over, for social hour, even as other guests arrived and had nowhere to sit. I realize that staff may not want to tell guests to leave, but having to take my breakfast back to my room because others are busy chatting on tables by themselves; is not what I paid this exorbitant room rate for. - The nearby train goes by about every 60-90 minutes, making noise. It is loudly audible from every room. Again - not the inn's fault, but something to keep in mind when considering staying here.

Staff was extremely unprofessional. Playing on his phone not paying attention to his job at the desk. Later he was yelling at a coworker in the comments area. He acted extremely unprofessional, unkind, and inappropriate.

Campus Inn Missoula is two blocks from the University of Montana. We're near the Clark Fork River, walking, biking trails, and the scenic downtown area. Our entire hotel is smoke free. We have recently gone through an extensive remodel.
We booked the room because the ad said there was a pool and a hot tub. There was not. It said there was a continental breakfast. There was not. What they did have was barely a convenience store breakfast. Oatmeal, cold cereal and a couple of convenience store danishes that were gone quickly. The toilet in our room wouldn't flush. When you used the bathroom you had to couch it at least 3-4 tinted to get anything to go down. I was in town to coach a client in a bodybuilding show. I was busy for a half hour then nothing for 90 minutes all weekend. We counted on the pool and hot tub for something to do in between. We got there to late to switch rooms but when we talked to the staff/manager about any and all of these concerns all we got was a "sucks to be you" attitude. I felt it was dishonest and I will never stay there again not will anyone I know. Not only was the accommodations not what I paid for but the effort to compensate is for the sheer dishonestly didn't exist. Pitiful!!
