This is a truly unique and popular location as the Lighthouse sits on the southernmost point in Norway. In addition to the lighthouse the site also includes a restaurant, museums, exhibitions, shops, cinema and an appartment for rent to guests. It`s the third largest tourist attraction in Southern Norway.
Located at Norway’s southernmost point, this is the last manned lighthouse in the country. Some nice old buildings, great views and also some remains of WW2 fortifications. The museum is also a good one.

The first lighthouse at Gunnarshaug was lit on November 10th in 1836. From 1853 to 1873 the station consisted of three towers, and was the worlds largest at the time. Today a 34 metre tall stone tower built in 1853 is in full operation at the site. Follow the 132 steps to the top and enjoy the fantastic view of the Lista peninsula and the sea. Adjacent to the lighthouse you will find an art gallery, an information centre, a small cafe and shop, an ornithological station and two apartments for rent. The Lighthouse area and Exhibitions are open to the Public, free of charge. We do however charge an entrance fee for the Tower (NOK 40 for adults, NOK 20 for kids).
Lista fyr a relaxed place to visit. Climb the lighthouse enjoy the sights. Close to nordberg fort good to combine. Southern point of norway all ships going onto bering sea have to pass here
