I paid 6340yen/night ,reserved about 2 months in advance on booking.com for a single room staying 2 nights. They gave me a free upgrade to a double room, which is much bigger, and at the front of the hotel with nice views. The bathrooms at this hotel are very small. Check-in at the hotel is not until 3pm, so if you come in the morning and want to explore Amanohashidate, you can store your bags across the street from the JR station for free if your a guest at the hotel(ask at the tourist center). They also have small lockers at the station if your traveling light. The hotel has a free shuttle pick-up at the train station at 3,4,5,and 6pm. Shuttle back to the Amanohashidate JR Station, from the hotel is at 815am, 920am, 10am,11am. The staff are very nice, and some speak English. The WiFi worked only one of the 2 nights and was unsecured. There is a great supermarket about 2km away, and the bus stop for the bus to INE is about 800 meters away. They have bicycle rentals at the hotel, but I walked everywhere. Ask for a map at the front desk. The air-con had no temperature control, but has a fan speed switch beside the bed. It kept the room very comfortable. There is a safe in the room and a small fridge. Kettle and tea are supplied. I did not eat breakfast at the hotel but it was 1660yen. I was very pleased with my stay.

Enjoy the magnificent Sea of Japan and spend a blissful interlude discovering the beauty of each season Nagomitei is an authentic Japanese inn perched on the cliffs overlooking the Sea of Japan. The inn welcomes adult guests only, and all of our rooms have a rotenburo (an open air bath) with a view of the ocean, so you can let time flow by quietly in a gensen kakenagashi onsen, a bath with waters that come directly from the hot spring and are not circulated. For those who find it difficult to sleep on a futon, we recommend the Japanese-Western rooms. The Japanese rooms include a massage chair. Our head chef carefully selects the finest, freshest ingredients of the season to prepare our sumptuous kaiseki cuisine. Please notify us in advance if you have any food allergies or foods you dislike. Breakfast and dinner are served in your room so that you can make yourself at home and enjoy.
This is the annex to a larger hotel next to each other. Only 18 rooms all facing the sea and if you pull yourself up at around 6 then you get a beautiful rising sun from the horizon. Like all onsen hotel , dinner and breakfast are included and there are a few choices depending on your taste. Its difficult to pick as all menu is in Japanese and you need someone who knows the language to help out. The rooms are spacious with sitting, sleeping and dining area. Outdoor onsen (mineral hot bath) in your own balcony and a larger public one for all hotel guest. In fact we have the large one to ourselves as no one was there on a Sunday morning. The staff are courteous and helpful though their english are quite limited. I think the hotel cater more for local tourists. This is a quiet hotel and get away for a couple of days.
