Loud hotel with inexperienced staff and management
Reviewed By timothybV8555AD-Every night we stayed someone sat outside smoking and talking so loud I could hear them all night in my room, -mold in the showers due to them not being caulked properly, -the carpet was sticky -the microwave was tiny and didn’t work, -the refrigerator kept things lukewarm at best and doesn’t have an adjustment knob -the dog trash can outside never had a bag in it so everyone’s dog poo just sits in a metal can in the sun. I told them about it and they didn’t even do anything. -The pool appeared cloudy and I didn’t feel safe swimming in it. -The doors and walls are so thin you can literally hear everyone around you -it is very dark and poorly lit all around the outside of the hotel. - I would not stay here, there are two hotels on either side that also accept pets and are far better options than this half run hotel. Some cheapo obviously crammed way to many rooms into way to small of a space to try and make a buck, the hotel looks new, but has the utilities and furniture of one from decades ago. All of these things combined with the inexperienced and often rude staff, makes this place a no go for me. I worked in hotels for five years as a maintenance man so I’m not just “being one of those customers” this place is just a crappy poorly run hotel. it’s as simple as that.

Helpful suggestions, thank you for the roll away and I would appreciate a heads up in the future for the additional charge of it. Also asking for additional work place I D is not a required IHG standard. I'm able to book the associate rate because my membership number is set up through management at the place I work. I provided a valid drivers license but was held up in front of family for more verification. Little embarrassed by this. Other wise great stay.

From the moment we started working with Ellie, we knew our trip and stay at SpringHill Suites by Marriott Detroit Wixom were going to be great! Ellie made the reservation process super simple! Given the amount of travel we have done through the years, this experience was a 13 out of 10. :-) The day we arrived to the hotel after a 5 hour car ride, we entered to a sign in the lobby celebrating one of our business companions birthday. (Each time there after, if this person was in the lobby, hotel staff would wish him a happy birthday) The check-in process much like the reservation process was seamless and super efficient. Within minutes all of us were checked into our rooms which we beautiful. Regarding accommodations, Ellie went above and beyond not only inspecting all the rooms before arrival but also continued to check on our group during our stay. At the end of the trip, Ellie let all of us know how happy she was to have us stay at the hotel and followed up with an email. If you are looking to stay at a hotel that goes above and beyond, this is the hotel to stay at and if you get a chance, work with Ellie! She is super.

Reviewed By K6157DYgregbMy Charity works with the Huron Valley School District Social Workers and we booked this room at the Wixom Comfort Suites for a family in need while they were waiting to move into their new apartment. We were charged $250.00 for alleged stain to the carpet and the fiberglass tub. The case worker was aware juice was spilled on the carpet as she did visits during the families stay and helped them clean the stain. We have attempted contact with Jackie the hotel manager however we are always told she is not available. How can a fiberglass tub possibly be stained? The social worker did have to go advocate for the family as she was receiving no maid service daily which caused a lack of towels. She did manage to borrow a vacuum so the family could clean. The manager Jackie was aware we were renting the suite for the month of January for a family in need and obviously did not want people of their economic misfortune on the property. NEVER stay at the Wixom Comfort Suites or any other Choice franchise lodging facility.
