Inhospitable, rude and unfriendly
Reviewed By Michael CWhen we got there late at night, the front desk lady told us the elevator was out of order and had been for weeks, even though they took our booking only a few hours before without disclosing that. When I expressed displeasure because of the amount of luggage we had to move up the stairs to higher floor, she snapped that we could feel free to cancel our reservation and go look somewhere else (an unattractive option late at night with our extensive luggage and pets). She continued her belligerence and rudeness in every interaction. I wasn't expecting the Waldorf. But I wasn't expecting this.

Reviewed By canuplayDecent hotel at a good price. Front desk staff very nice. Gentleman had to come to our room to get the cable TV to work, yeah!! Good breakfast of sausage, scrambled eggs, cereal and different breads. Close to many things and a chic filet across the street. Will stay again.

Good Value, but Smelly with annoying charges

The room was comfortable, and the staff was nice. Pro: • Well appointed, albeit odd, room • Good A/C • Good plumbing • Plenty of power for charging • Secure (Off the main road) • Quiet • Friendly staff • No stink I the room • On site laundry Cons: • They charged me $10 to not smoke, yes that’s right. It made me mad really, but the price overall was lower than elsewhere. They could have called it anything else, and I would not mention it here, but that’s not right. I’m sure had I smoked I would have been charged too, but I’m not sure why I was penalized for stupid actions of others • Wow, was it ever smelly. The office was ripe with curry, and the hall to the second-floor units was a putrid stench of smoke, and something. I literally held my breath coming home down the hall hoping it would not stick to my business casual • Sparse breakfast with the world’s weakest coffee. I think they wave a single coffee bean over the water • There are no lamps in the rooms. Only a spot light in the face to read by. Not a super big deal. • Maintenance is being deferred, so the outlook is not great for the property. One room was boarded up, and the carpet is, well, the smell. (However, the room did NOT stink. I was happy) • Also, when I left they threw my forgotten water pick cord away very quickly. I expected that, but when someone asks if you have one, at least “look” at the lost and found before being the disappointment. I would not stay here with my wife, but if I were in town again for work, I might stay there again. I won’t ever pay to not smoke again.
