Reviewed By Deidre868We had an amazing lunch on the 28th May with a group of 9 . Service was incredible and all meals came out at the same time. The communication from the start was excellent even when I had to change numbers of people . Certainly recommend the restaurant and the views were relaxing.

The historic Kentish Hotel is situated at the base of the Awhitu Peninsula. The Kentish Hotel was built in 1851 by Edward Constable who emigrated from Maidstone Kent. He applied for a special license for the sale and supply of alcohol & then license No 47 was granted to him in January 10th 1853. We are still operating under the same license today. This hotel is a Heritage Hotel,(an listed with the Historical Trust, making changes to the interior impossible)Therefore all facilities are shared, the rooms are not sound proofed so from Friday to Saturday we do have live entertainment & it can be a little noisy. All music stops at midnight; however we do provide earplugs if required (hehe). We are only 30 mins from the airport and 50 mins from Auckland. All rooms have flat screen TVs with free view, continental breakfast is avaiable in rooms, all rooms have tea/coffee making facilities with free water/biscuits.

Reviewed By TttrrravlllWe were placed directly above the bar and the extremely loud pub band. Our elderly unimproved unsoundproofed room vibrated and shook until midnight. The shared toilets were a nightmare and faeces adorned (probably due to a drunk guest). My duvet smelled like the lungs of a smoker. All in all just awful.

Reviewed By BrooketribeSuch a great family oriented place to stay. Safe holiday park so kids free to run off and play with new friends they met at the campground. Pizza oven is awesome and we used it heaps. Facilities well cared for and clean. Hosts are lovely and always helpful. Safe swimming beach just across the road. Plenty of places to explore. Was an awesome family getaway and we look forward to going back as soon as we can.

Reviewed By attorneydaytonVery disappointed in your mannerism, the price you expected Me to pay for my 2 nephews & myself for 2 nights was overly priced, my own kids where only allowed to visit for 1hr as you said "cup of coffee & bickies" then go home, I haven't seen my adult kids/mokos since July of last year!!! To top it off whoever your cleaner is needs a wake up call or sacked & yes I do know how a motel/hotel should be like & our unit was very disgusting, I will not be coming back, definitely a big "0" from Me

Reviewed By Sillybambi74DO NOT STAY HERe the rooms are outdated, dark and smell musty and the amount of drugs going on here is rediculous i saw at least 10+ deals go down over the 4 nights and despite telling the office they did nothing at all aboit it and it continued,and then i had a near viloent incident with someone clearly out if their minds on drugs, will never return again and you should avoid as well at all costs
