My husband and I have recently returned from a lovely break at the Lynch Country House Hotel. Lyn the manager and Roy the owner were both great hosts, making us feel very welcome and gave us lots of good recommendations about where to go to eat etc. The Lynch County House is a beautiful building, full of character and charm, sitting in equally beautiful grounds. Breakfasts were very well prepared and our room was very clean and very well appointed. We look forward to returning again soon. Thank you both!

Our 8 bedrooms have been beautifully refurbished to the highest standard. Each room is different, individually designed with quirky interior design details. High quality Egyptian bed linen, king and super king size beds to sink into, and tea & coffee making facilities, wifi and smart TVs in every room.
I could not fault this beautiful inn in the equally beautiful village of Somerton, Somerset. The building, the decor, the room, dinner, breakfast and all the staff were top notch. Should also say it was great value for money too. We will definitely return.

On my last visit to UK, 5 years ago, this was the best B&B. So We had to return. Still very good. Comfortable, quiet, clean, good facilities, attentive but not obtrusive host, excellent breakfast. Recommended.

Stayed for one night with my husband as we had a birthday party in the town. We booked the large double room for £75 which didn't include breakfast. We were able to park in a large car park behind which was really handy Our room was old fashioned but the bed was comfy. The bathroom was clean, sizeable and had a big shower which my husband said was really good. We initially didn't have much toilet roll or any towels, but after asking they were brought up fairly quickly. The pub is busy and loud so we could hear plenty of noise from our room. This was mentioned to us on booking and it didn't bother us at all. We arrived back just before closing so wasn't disturbed of sleep either. The staff were all friendly and check out was as easy as dropping our key in a drop box on the way out. The only thing I'll mention is the 'loose' coffee granules that had been there so long they had solidified. Thankfully neither of us wanted a coffee in the morning. Would absolutely stay again though as it was ok value and the pub has a good atmosphere with friendly staff.

The Mount in Somerton is a former bed and breakfast which we have now converted to two stunning self contained apartments - one on each level of the house. Both the apartments, Hazelwood and Beechwood, are spacious and bright and overlook an acre of beautiful gardens with fields beyond. The Mount is a mainly Georgian-era house, just a stone's throw from the centre of the charming village of Somerton, and a short drive to many popular attractions. The apartments are south-facing for light and sunshine, and perfect for a quiet and peaceful break. And there's plenty of free parking space in the circular drive. The Mount is a perfect base for sightseeing South Somerset: Glastonbury Tor, the spectacular 13th century Wells cathedral and Bishops Palace with its moat, and the Ham Wall RSPB nature reserve. A short drive takes you to National Trust properties including Lytes Cary Manor (5 minutes) Barrington Court (15 Minutes) and Montacute (15 minutes) The Mount is a five minute level walk to the centre of Somerton, a thriving village with its 17th century Buttercross and many independent shops. We have a range of places to eat, The White Hart, the Globe and the Unicorn, two cafes, an Indian restaurant and a fine dining experience at Number 28 Market Place. Somerton also has an antiques emporium, two bakeries, a butcher, health food shop, stationer, wine shop, shoe shop, fruiterer, post office, library, pharmacy, and a Co-op supermarket. Please note: these are self catering apartments, we no longer provide breakfast but you will get a welcome pack with everything you need to set you up for your stay!
Thank you Trish and Henry for making our overnight stay so welcoming. We are so glad to have met you on our way down to Falmouth and and although our time with you was short we know it won’t be the last. Such a comfortable sleep and a breakfast to die for. We look forward to seeing you again. Ian and Sue

We booked a two night stay with, slight apprehension, due to Covid situation. The rooms were spotlessly clean , and sanitizer gel was readily available . The rooms are nicely decorated , and very comfortable. The village is very quiet and peaceful , so overall we had a very relaxing stay . Excellent cooked breakfast , with home made bread and jams . All the staff were very professional and friendly , and nothing is too much trouble for them and the perfect host ( Cinzia ) . So overall a highly recommended stay, in this lovely part of the world .
