Reviewed By marekp59The breakfasts were very good with a good coffee servet at order! Staff was very good. Modern bathroom, but a bit neglected. There was no problem with parking. Great place for a starting point to visit the area [Banska Szczawnica, Banska Bystrzyca, Zwolen, etc.] and for hiking in the mountains.

Unpleasant ending to our stay
Reviewed By RenataAdelaideCustomer service was the worst I have ever experienced and I have travelled extensively. My husband left some wet footprints on the dining room floor as it rained that morning, as he apologised the owner was not pleased and told him he should have slippers inside? What?

Reviewed By BarboraK280Útulný penzión s dobrou kuchyňou na dobrom mieste. Ak máte niekoho v kúpeľoch Sliač, alebo Kováčová, je to ideálna voľba na prenocovanie. Cena 20€ za osobu je super a za psíka som platila 5€. Jediné, čo sa nám nepáčilo, bola príliš aktívna recepčná, ktorej vadilo, že sme sa po oslave všetci stretli u kamaráta na apartmáne. Vraj “návštevy na izbách sú zakázané”. Čo sme v pionierskom tábore??? Len tak mimochodom, bolo nás 10, všetci sme tam spali každý zvlášť, všetci sme jedli a pili, čiže sme tam dokopy nechali nemalú tržbu a nikto sa nesťažoval, že by sme boli hluční, len pani recepčná...

Communist style hotel
Reviewed By BlankaonThis uses to be really nice hotel in 30-ies. Architecture -great functionalism. Unfortunately, the spirit is gone, except of it, it is still influenced by communism. I mean equipment, smell of chloride in the bathrooms, weird furniture, strange decorations, ... We were lucky the first day we checked in. There was a young lady in practice. She was really trying to help us as hotel lost our reservation (actually forgot to add it to reservation system). We booked "the best room" - called "standard". Unfortunately it seemed we can not get it but then she found one. Another types of rooms are called "Economy" and "Retro". Well, as we entered our standard room, I would consider it as retro mixed with economy. It was definitely not worth of 55 Eur/night. The best was the view! The rest I can not recommend. Next day, there was another receptionist - a bit older. She noticed us but continued working on PC, then picked private phone call - while queue was getting longer and longer. All we wanted was to leave our luggage there. We had to wait around 10 minutes, listen to many complaints from others about lax personnel. Really return back to communism when a receptionist was king of world. I do not recommend to be accomodated in this hotel. It is not cheap, you will not get proper service, nearby thermal pool is cold (28C), just it is located in a calm enviroment.But there is an exception: if you want to return 30 years in time, go there!
