This is the most delightful B&B in San Pietro. Impeccably appointed, ultra clean, in perfect condition with pool. The price is too cheap for the quality of the experience. We visited Vito at the beginning of July and drove an hour in the wrong direction on our return to stay again. ‘Exceptional’ is the only word to describe this perfect little corner of Puglia. If you stay ask Vito to book the Cantina Don Carlo! A restaurant to match the B&B! Delicious!

The "Casina Villa Urso" is located in the splendid frame of the area called "Giardini Della Cupa", at 4 kilometer from the city of Lecce BaroqueThe property was built at the end of the 19th century and, following the style of the noble residences of that period, includes a splendid enclosed garden rich of cytrus and palm trees and even a chapel.Separately from the main residence 3 independent rooms with bathroom have been renovated; the ancient ceiling called "volta a stella", the original floor of the same age and the furniture characterize the refined environment. Also available a suite equipped with kitchen, fireplace and bathroom, wich will let the guests enjoy their independence.we offer breakfast in the garden, with specialties prepared by your hosts, Carlo and Giusy.Furthermore we organize events with degustation of typical dishes of the regional cuisine "salentina" interpreted and prapared by Carlo.
We stayed 10 nts in August in the 'suite' (studio-apartment). The location is beautiful, immersed in the countryside, fairly remote, extremely quite and surrounded by green, olive trees and gardens. Ideal for the morning run too. A car is a necessity. The studio apartment- like the rest of villa Urso- is decorated with taste, simply and elegantly with a antique furniture. It was a good size and the bed was comfortable. It is in a separate stone outbuilding with private parking outside and a lovely area with table and chairs which we used in the evening to sit for aperitivo or eat dinner. The kitchen is small, modern and functional but not overly well equipped- no bowls, no wine glasses, a single pan and pot. Consider that whilst this room is advertised as having a kitchen- when you come to book the extra charge is added to use it. The bathroom is huge with a wonderful double sink. Toiletries are practically non existent. The shower is temperamental in its temperature settings - it choses for you! and the water pressure isn't great. The room wasn't as clean as it could be- it was cleaned and the bed made each day but I noticed it in details (windows sills, corners of rooms etc). Towels are supposedly changed every 3 days. There was a mix up day 3 and ours weren't- which the owners apologised profusely for and made up the next day. However day 9, before departure we still hadn't had a second or third round of linens so left ours on the floor as a message in order to have fresh towels for our last days. The maid left clean linen- bath towels the size of hand towels.. The forte here is the owner Carlo's passion for cooking: breakfast! An absolute feast and delight of freshly made pastries and cakes served with fruit from their garden, yoghurt, Juice, hot drinks- absolutely delightful. Served in the stunning internal garden. This is not a place for early risers- breakfast is officially served from 8.30 but was never ready before 9.30 which meant it was 11 before we were setting off for our day! The owner Giusy is a delightful lady who offers information about where to go and the history of Puglia. With a voice you could listen to for hours, a real storyteller. Unfortunately on our departure we had a misunderstanding with the price of the apartment (and had to pay the extra amount. It was unfortunate as emails had been exchanged at the time of booking and amounts discussed - apparently we had misunderstood the total to pay (extra room tax and extra for the kitchen) which is fine and wouldn't have been a problem but when the owner had read the incorrect price in our email he chose not to reply clearing it up immediately ("well I saw that you wrote the wrong total but didn't reply because it was obvious you were wrong") . so an unpleasant discussion arose as we were ready to leave, it certainly shadowed the rosy holiday feeling and could have been easily avoided with a more efficient approach to running one's business. As a final blow the card machine doesn't work so we had to drive into town for extra cash and back again. Villa Urso is a beautiful house in a gorgeous location. You can enjoy a quiet and peaceful very slow pace of life and delicious breakfasts, for the cost of the structure there could be more attention to the details where service is a little lacking.

The "Traini Bed and breakfast" is placed in an early '900 century house, with wide rooms overtopped by antique groin vaults. It has been completely restored and furnished by all comforts: private bathroom, air conditioning, LCD TV with digital cable, wireless connection. The B&B is located in a quiet town that is in a very strategic position, 5 km from the historical centre of the main city of Lecce and 20 km from both the Jonic and the Adriatic Sea.
We traveled in Puglia - and didn't wanted to stay in any cities or near the beach because August is the busy time in Italy - thus, we took a chance and booked for three days at this fantastic B&B. Wish we could have stayed longer! When we arrived in this little town - about 4 km outside of beautiful Lecce - we were not impressed - although we found parking right in front and it was super quiet. We opened the door to an amazing B&B. We were greeted by Federica the owner - she showed us the kitchen - well organized with a garden out the door - where you can have breakfast and chat in the morning. Then she showed us our gorgeous and super clean room - old but with every convenience you need - air conditioning, wi-fi, TV - and a huge bathroom (super new and modern with a giant shower). The mornings were great because we had a leisurely breakfast and chatted with Federica and met her very attractive mother and her sister-in-law and her two daughters. It was fun chatting and having them explain the Puglia and life in general. This little B&B is definitely a place that we will be returning to - and hopefully in September. Thanks again to Federica and her wonderful family in helping make our stay even better
