Delicious breakfasts, a beautiful property, & an awesome base from which to explore Provence. Richard & Enxin's children also gave us cute attacks every morning! Would definitely recommend isle sur la sorgue but make sure you check opening times before you go. Also ask Richard about the magic fountain walk ;)

We know Saint-Didier very well from many stays but our previous accommodation was unavailable for a 2018 visit. This 'substitute' property appeared to be attractive. It proved to be so much more. We booked ‘Le Cabanon’, in the grounds but separate from the B&B, and would be cooking for ourselves. Odile Paillard greeted us quietly and efficiently. Her friendliness and smile came very close behind. The accommodation is lovely with all that you might want. A well-equipped kitchen is provided and the sheltered outside terrace beckons for food and drinks or unflustered relaxation. You will struggle to think of anything that is lacking... but if you succeeded it would soon be produced. The garden and pool are both carefully tended and provide additional satisfactions. We were introduced to local domaines and restaurants through great recommendations. It is clear from other comments that Monsieur Paillard is an able partner to the atmosphere created here but he was busy with other important professional business during our stay. We witnessed the relish expressed by chambres d'hôtes guests as they enjoyed their petit déjeuner on the terrace at the main house. Odile is a great cook who has that special quality in a host which means that old friends and new guests are treated alike with the same generosity. Our treat was to be surprised with Odile’s offerings of home-made baking and preserves even though we were not part of the catered-for clientele. Returning the compliment in a small way from our temporary kitchen was an easy pleasure. One thing that was beyond our host’s control was the weather. It joined in gloriously with Odile’s generosity for a wonderful stay. Why the delay in reviewing such an idyllic place? Rather selfish, I suppose. I can now safely share this with you in the knowledge that we have already secured a booking for our stay this year! Vaucluse is just one of the fine departments to explore in France. Here you will find people, towns and landscapes, food, wines and so much more of great substance and quality. If you want to explore those attractions I strongly recommend that you make La Grand' Vigne your base. It is a Provencal gem… a gem polished daily by the attentions of Mme. Odile Paillard.
