We chose this hotel because of the reviews. It was our grandsons first hotel stay and he loved it. Very clean. Staff were friendly and very nice. Especially the guy on the desk at our arrival. Sorry did not get his name. Breakfast was good.. I would recommend this hotel. Thanks

Just south of the Brecon Beacons, the Premier Inn Hotel Pontypool puts you in the perfect position for exploring the valleys of South Wales and Monmouthshire or the peaks of the National Park. Sample the local produce in the historic market towns of Usk, Monmouth and Abergavenny. Explore the area's rich history at Blaenavon World Heritage Site and Big Pit National Coal Museum. Or zip down the road to Newport and Cardiff. Then treat yourself to a well-earned meal at the restaurant just next to us before sleeping in our big, comfy beds.
Great breakfast staff very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Very clean bedroom felt safe. About 20 mins away from Cardiff. We went for the Ed Sheeran concert in Cardiff. The food at breakfast was very tasty and a good choice. Freshly cooked to order. Good value for money.

The Little Crown Inn boasts 5 traditionally styled, en suite rooms that deliver all of the modern comforts. We have a busy restaurant that specialises in serving honest, home cooked meals, a bar area & a beer garden. We're ideally situated for trips into Newport & Cardiff, & close to local amenities & tourist attractions. Prices are for the room only and include housekeeping and parking. We serve a traditional Welsh/English breakfast and provide a continental style buffet bar at an additional cost.
So glad this pub is open again. Had a fabulous meal there with friends. The standard is still excellent and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this pub as the choice of meals is excellent and reasonably priced. Will definitely be back.

The drive to find this out of the way farm is not kind to your car unless you happen to have 4wd. The track is narrow and strewn with potholes. It is single track and barely wide enough for a normal width car. The farm sign is only visible when coming from one direction. Approach from the other way at your peril There was no proper checkin. No covid 19 precautions, hand sanitizer or social distancing measures. We were allocated room 3. This was a double, 1 chair and en suite. We were told that we were the only persons staying that night. Our room had a patio which was a weed strewn length of concrete with two wooden chairs and a table. We were shown the kitchen area which we were to share with the other 2 rooms (potentialy 8 people). No way could this be used in a socially distanced manner. A half opened loaf of bread and a box of muesli were shown to us as breakfast was spoke about. No mention was made of a cooked one The owner then did a vanishing act and we were left wondering whether we should close the door to the fly ridden entrance. In our room we watched tele before putting our heads down. Much to our disgust the toilet was not able to be flushed as the handle was hanging off. My wife went to try elsewhere I spent 5 minutes filling a waste bin with water and trying to flush. My wife returned and told me that the other toilets she had found were also defective. As the lady was nowhere to be seen we called it a day. At 08.35 with no sign of anyone or any breakfast we packed up and left. Our two night stay cut in half. A phone call to a Premier Inn getting us a room for the 2nd night. Despite trying to ring the owner we were unable to speak. Sad to say in all our years of traveling at home & abroad we have never had such an a bad experience. I even had to check that I was at our booked accommodation as I had read glowing reports from other guests.Something has gone dreadfully wrong since then.

We had a wonderful weekend at the beautiful wern situated in a quiet area overlooking small mountainous region. Really lovely interior design to a character home. Very welcoming and friendly host. Would definitely recommend. Felt like home and was sad to leave.
