Very historic building with stunning views of the Gredos. The beds are rock hard and the Parador needs new investment. The room safes are opened with your credit card using the magnetic stripe, a feature from the 1980’s. Food is good, breakfast buffet but not many staff available to ask for hot dishes. The swimming pool was closed on 1st September but was clearly working. A missed opportunity to close it as its one less facility for Guests to use. Weather was 25 degrees when we stayed so not cold. Parking is a bit haphazard and there is no enforcement of it. The chairs and sofas are warn and could do with recovering. Staff are very attentive

Charming Rural Hotel, With A Personal Attention, Situated In Central Area Of The Village. Very Quiet And With An Special Touch Of Personality.
It felt really great to be able to enjoy these kinds of places after a three-month lock-down. We were practically the only guests, and had thee place to ourselves. We only stayed for a night, but waking up to the sound of th sparrows outside, and having breakfast in the patio was more than we could ask for. Thank you Tamara for making us feel so at home.

A lively little hotel in a gorgeous village. Our room was off a little courtyard, not a bad size with a big bathroom with massive walk in shower. Bed was a little hard for my liking, pillow, hard and fat, but this is personal. TV, and wonderful working air conditioner. A table and chairs would be a nice touch in the courtyard. Parking is available if you drive past the hotel to the end of the street, and parking thru the castle gates is probably best and it’s free. Our navigator took us to the back of the hotel so watch for that, the street is accessed from the square on a one way system. Perfect location stones throw from everything just a note proprietors speak no English, as does most of the village. Would definitely stay again.

We stopped by oropesa for 1 night to break a Lagos-Madrid trip. It was a fantastic choice! Oropesa is a very nice place, medieval style with walls and a castle. We stayed at casa rural infante. We booked through booking and when we arrived they weren't expecting us (it was stated that a computer error occurred). Nevertheless the staff was very helpful and immediately said there wasn't a problem and handled the check in right away and provided us with 2 rooms. You can tell something is good when you are not expected but everything is in order. All was clean and in place. The only thing to improve: the rooms were so hot that had to sleep with the air conditioning on for the entire night.

Great value for a weekend stay in Oropesa right next to the Castillo. Out the door and through the courtyard and your in the castle and parking is right outside the hotel. 130kms from Madrid airport easy journey and about 8€ tolls so make sure you have change.
