We thought the cost of the apartment was appropriate and we totally enjoyed our stay and we will certainly come back to stay at Onetangi Beachfront Apartments. ??

Amazing views, location and staff!
Reviewed By KNL2009I arrived at Waiheke Backpackers late at night after having a poor experience at another hostel on the island. The staff member on duty was so accomodating and helpful, as were all the other members of staff and the hostel manager throughout my stay. They have loads of local knowledge about the island and were always friendly and chatty. The hostel itself is perfectly clean throughout and well maintained. The lawn and BBQ area overlooking Onetangi Bay was such a beautiful place to sit and have breakfast. The kitchen is well equipped and has several fridges so plenty of space to store your food. There is a bus stop down the steps from the hostel with a bus that takes you to the ferry, main town, Countdown and several of the wineries and beaches. There are quite a lot of steps so just be aware of that if you're coming up with backpacks but I found it really handy having a stop so close. Onetangi beach is also at the bottom of the steps and several restaurants further along the beach. The hostel is generally very chilled and not a party place but the common spaces make it easy to socialise and meet people and it has a really friendly vibe.

Relax in comfort and style
Reviewed By car0le2211Villas Waiheke are an oasis of calm in the centre of Waiheke, off the Onetangi straight. Despite the driveway running parallel to the grassy runway, we did not see or hear a single plane taking off or landing during our two-night stay. There were a couple of helicopters going in or out, but they didn’t disturb us. The villas were designed and built by a builder/interior designer couple, and it shows. The kitchen is fully set up with a dish drawer, microwave and a two-element ceramic hob. The bed and other furniture were very comfortable, the shower had the option of a standard head or rain head and there was a washer/dryer combo in the hot water cupboard. There are five villas, and all have a private deck with views of the sea and the Ecozip platform on the nearby hill. There is a heat pump in the living area and a panel heater in the bedroom. The pool was heated to 30 degrees and the spa pool was a comfortable temperature. The gardens are beautifully kept and there are numerous birds (and a few rabbits on the driveway). The manager Vicky was excellent. She organised all our bookings – rental car, Ecozip, wine tour, meals out, and everything worked like clockwork. I can thoroughly recommend staying here.

Reviewed By Katey1955We spent 3 days at Sands apartment 9 and absolutely loved it. Excellent communication with booking and arrival instructions, the apartment was very comfortable and cosy with gorgeous views. We enjoyed beach walks and the best fish and chips on Onetangi Road. Great bus service every 30 minutes, the Ostend Saturday markets were well worth the trip. We felt relaxed and refreshed after our very relaxing 3 days.

This property is a 14-minute walk from the beach. Wai-knot Accommodation offers both boutique caravans or private bedrooms in the main building. Free WiFi and free parking are provided. The caravans have their own outdoor area and refrigerator. All accommodation at Wai-knot has access to the main buildings bathrooms facilities. All shared facilities are cleaned daily and quality linen and towels are included. Simple cooking facilities are available in the shared kitchenette for all guests to enjoy.
