Traditional hotel with outstanding restaurant.
Reviewed By Peter LWe stopped here overnight on the journey to our holiday destination. This is a traditional style hotel, but comfortable and welcoming. A large free car park is a further bonus. The highlight for us was the superb restaurant in a stylish modern extension to the front of the building, in which we had a memorable meal. If passing this way again, we would not hesitate to stay here again.

Really lovely family run restaurant (restaurant review only)
Reviewed By WoundmanWe went here with friends who lived locally on a Saturday night. The service food wine and beer where all excellent. Food was very well presented and we all enjoyed our dishes from fish to duck and tags desserts. Staff make you feel at home and special.

Reviewed By CharlesC668This is the second time that I have stayed at this hotel. On both occasions I was on a cycling holiday and just passing through. The dining room is great - though it's a real pity that there is no evening meal available here. The view over the river below is stunning from the dining room. The room was comfortable and as were the beds. When the owner was present we were made to feel welcome. She locked our cycles in a secure store room, which was great. The hotel is very central and within easy reach of decent places to eat. Value for money was OK, but not great. · Breakfast could have been better. The coffee was disappointing. It is described as a hotel but we found that it was closed until 16.00 and had to wait three hours to drop our stuff off, which meant that we didn't really have an opportunity to check out the sights in the pretty town of Mayenne.

Clean, functional, great staff
Reviewed By peterw458Wife and I stayed 3 nights as part of group weekend in Mayenne. Rooms are basic but clean and good enough; lino floor, bed firm but comfortable though only two lumpy pillows. Our room was rear ground floor which remained lovely and cool all day despite the intense 30+ degrees C heat every day. Large walk in shower but only one towel each - not great when you need a shower morning and evening after the heat. Decent breakfast; usual continental stuff with rolls, croissants, jam, cheese, ham etc but also bacon, scrambled and boiled eggs. Staff were very welcoming and helpful - happy to find me some decaf each morning. Coffee ,tea and juice plentiful. No bar as such but 2 beers on tap and indoor (breakfast room) and outdoor seating. We had a set meal on the first evening for about 30 people which was excellent.
