A 3 star hotel located in Brae in the north of the Shetland Islands. 35 En-suite bedrooms, restaurant, lounge bar, public bar and event space for 120.
Stayed for 3 nights during a cycle tour of Shetlands. This was my favourite of the hotels we stayed in. Most important was the warm welcome from the friendly and helpful staff, but also loved the great breakfast and dinner, the comfy beds and nice room, lively bar with Sky Sports and some good locally-brewed bottled beers.

Fantastic, clean and everything you want for self-catering. I lovely house with a spacious and well equipped kitchen. There were lots of little things that make all the difference such as a washing basket in every room and a strong hairdryer. And it's only £5 for a tax back from the town centre, if you want to go out for a few drinks.

Brilliant service. The hotel I was originally booked into said my booking had been cancelled. Not known to me or my employer!!. A phone round most of the hotels in Lerwick was unsuccessful. Another phone call to the Lerwick and a room was found for me for bith nights. Fantastic service from the staff as always.

The Glen Orchy is a converted Edwardian Convent located two minutes walk from Lerwick city centre. We are situated in a quiet neighbourhood with views which overlook the town and both Lerwick and Breiwick Bays, across the street from us is a golf course along the coast which also boasts great walking routes. We are family owned and operated with a few specially selected staff. We do our very best to make our guests feel welcomed and valued, we want everyone to have a pleasant stay and leave with good memories. We try to make the extra effort for our guests because we know they have come great distances to stay with us.
Requested 5 months in advance disabled accommodation, was told 'we'll see what we can do' None, so had to climb 4 flights of unlit stairs. Bed sheet/valance didn't fit and were torn. Thermal lined curtains full of holes. Shower dangerous. Black mould. torn wallpaper. Intermittant hot/cold water supply. No WiFi for 48hrs. Rear entrance littered with cigarette butts. Breakfast was ok.
