Ok, but not what we expected
Reviewed By Reto1961Having been in the Dorint Hotel in Sylt last year, with a very good experience, our choice has been again in a hotel of this chain, this time in Usedom. Not really welcoming building, like a block. Reception staff very kind, but quite distant. Room was Junior Suite, and now the negative points : no fridge, no A/C. So during the night the temperature in the room was about 28C. For the rate of this room I would expect a A/C, specially in a place near the beach. Breakfast was ok, but neither nothing special at all. Staff troughout hotel do not smile, friendly yes, but I missed the welcoming attitude I am used in other parts of Germany.

Friendly staff and good food but, oh those stairs!
Reviewed By Ann HWe saw this hotel on TripAdvisor and stayed here for our visit to Peenemunde rather than on the coast. It is in a lovely setting by a lake and the accommodation is spotless and food good, with exceptionally large portions. The Receptionist (luckily for us) spoke good English as generally it is not spoken in the area (in fact we even had a small boy point out our car and, we gather, ask where it came from as his mother replied "Englisch"! The staff were friendly and although they didn't speak English and we don't speak German with a lot of laughter on both sides and my small phrase book we managed. The only downside was that were on the second floor with four flights of stairs and we were under the eves - luckily the weather was pleasant but not hot as I think you would fry as there were small windows and no air conditioning. Would we visit again - yes, but would make sure we were on the first floor.

Restaurant Idyll am Wolgastsee
Reviewed By 979olafmNeue Betreiber, seit kurzem wieder eröffnet. Haben gerade dort zu Abend gegessen und waren begeistert. Essen und Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Es war ein sehr schöner Abend. Unbedingt weiter zu empfehlen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
