A trip to the Isle of Mull isn’t complete without a visit to the Tobermory Distillery, one of the oldest distillers in the country, and a snort of their single malt Scotch. Mull was first settled around 3000 B.C., but thankfully much of the island’s rustic natural beauty has been preserved. Explore the deep-sea cavern of MacKinnon’s Cave, try to solve the mystery of the Lochbuie stone circle and play royal at the 13th-century Duart Castle.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a quick visit to Mull and we wish we could of stayed longer. The hotel is wonderful, in a gorgeous location with fantastic staff. We booked the private Wilderness Spa with a picnic and it exceeded all expectations. It was so romantic and relaxing. The staff were so good, really helpful and friendly. Cannot recommend this place enough, I'm already planning on coming back for a girls trip!

I really liked this hotel. Welcoming gardens lead you in to a welcoming and friendly team. Our room (Room 12) was excellent, and spotlessly clean with a comfortable bed. I especially appreciated the cooler fridge as I have medicine that I need to keep cold and it is always such a bonus for me when hotels have this feature. Breakfast service was efficient and the food was delicious, with a good selection of breakfast options. I love when an experience gives you more than you were expecting which is what we had with Park Lodge Hotel, would have no hesitation in recommending it.

Pennygate Lodge is a Georgian Manse on the Isle of Mull, built in the 1830's and with a wonderful view overlooking Craignure Bay. We are centrally located on the Isle and only a few minutes (drive) from the main ferry terminal, thus creating the perfect base from which to explore the isle. Pennygate offers six tastefully fully refurbished and very comfortable bedrooms .Pennygate Lodge stands proudly amongst extensive lawn areas and gardens, and relaxation in beautifully understated surroundings.
After driving through the Highlands for more than a week on fiendishly narrow, relentlessly twisting roads amidst surprisingly impatient Scots, our three-night sojourn in the Pennygate Lodge was a wonderful and delightfully relaxing tonic. Mull exceeded our expectations, and this immaculately restored, beautifully appointed manse was the ideal base. I rarely write reviews, but Pennygate Lodge deserves it - very highly recommended.

Linndhu House is a substantial, country house bed and breakfast set in 27 acres of private and secluded grounds. Less than 2 miles from the vibrant and picturesque town of Tobermory to the north, our house nestles between the beautiful Aros Park and the Sound of Mull to the east and stunning wilderness to the south and west.
Perfect setting, large well appointed rooms with views and wonderful breakfast. The granola us the best ever! Alison & Nick are excellent hosts who make everyone feel like friends more than guests. We were helped with suggestions of places not to miss and they both went above and beyond to help when my husband lost his debit card. Nothing is too much trouble as we found when we said we were rather warm under the duvet and it was changed for a lighter one. How many people would bother to do that? We shall certainly be returning and continue our search for otters. Unfortunately even they could not magic up an otter for us!!!

Arle Lodge, holiday accommodation on the stunning Isle of Mull. 1-2 night stays available. Self check in. Self service plant based continental breakfast. Self catering kitchen. We supply cereal, bread, jams, plant milk, fruit juice, tea, coffee. We have a shared self catering kitchen and dining area so you can cook your own meals. All towels & linen provided. Please note the lodge is not suitable for children under the age of 4. We have dogs and rescue sheep and cats on site.
If you're happy with geriatric youth hostels, it's fine, otherwise don't expect to be impressed. The rooms are clean enough, but seemingly constructed from paper; the noise (however unwitting) from other guests is intrusive every morning. Don't ever expect to sleep past 7.00am. The kitchen facilities are perfectly functional, but if you want anything more than a basic youth hostel environment, you'll be disappointed.
