Hopetown Guesthouse is a family run B&B in the Bo-Karoo and was the first ever B&B in Hopetown founded, in 1999. We provide cosy, comfortable & affordable accommodation to the traveler in need of a stop-over on-route between Johannesburg & Cape Town. We are just off the N12. Rooms have their own entrances & bathrooms. Rooms are equipped with air con, DSTV (selected channels), mini fridge/kettle/microwave, cutlery & crockery, tea/coffee/homemade rusks. We offer safe parking & are pet-friendly upon request. Guests arrive as strangers, become friends & return as regulars! Hopetown Guesthouse is a must! (Oh, there's free wi-fi too!)

Reviewed By Abigail CI was truly blessed to be able to travel to South Africa . What made it really special was the Hopetown Guesthouse B&B which was highly recommended through a x partner. The family of Hopetown Guesthouse (B&B) accommodation was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were so pleasant, comfortable and hosted everything to make a travel hassle free. I personally felt very wanted and treated like a charm. If i should ever travel to South Africa i will definitely make a stop for a few days or more. Thank you once again and kind regards.

Excellent stay at Frida's Guest House
Reviewed By florie61We were very much surprised to find such a lovely guesthouse in a small place like Hopetown! We had the upper room with a large terrace and a beautiful view over the Karroo fields. Frida welcomed us personally and let us feel home immediately. Everything was extremely clean and well equipped with all we need. Also, the beautiful garden makes the venue a plus. Me and my wife can recommend Frida's Guest House to anyone travelling through Hopetown! Henk and Tonny van der Ham, Pretoria-East.

Reviewed By Yash1713As the name suggests, its not like that. The beddings were not cleaned, smelky room. No soap in soap dispenser even & worst thing the bathroom had a bathtub but no shower n tap was just above the drainage, we asked the owner to provide a bucket but for everything he just had one answer i dont know. All he ws interested in to collect money. If you arent paying then anothet party is asking for the room. If had to say yes as it ws late evening & hopetown doesnt have many accomodations. Parking also, they asked us to park outside but when we insisted that it provided free n secure parking then somehow they shown a way, the gate wsnt motored one, it ws a task to open & close the gate. It mentions free breakfast while booking but it ws shocking to know this place doesnt provide breakfast. No toiletteries, smelly towels. The pictures which are shown at sites while booking are not correct. Rooms are too bad then whts shown in pics. Dressing table support ws broken n was fixed with bricks support.

Reviewed By Y7386RZdianegWe arrived in the poring rain, secure covered parking was available for our fully laden vehicle, the keys to our accommodation was waiting for us as was the pr-ordered dinner and breakfast box which were both tasty and more than enough food was provided for the two of us. The accommodation was tastefully furnished and spotlessly clean.
