Really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful Inn. Our room looked out over the town and was decorated beautifully. Had dinner at the restaurant downstairs. It was delicious. The nicest restaurant in this quant small town. Nice little bar also attached. Would definitely stay here again on travels up the coast.

My mom and I stayed in the hideaway room at the Gingerbread Mansion earlier this month. It was a very beautiful and comfortable, well kept space. The staff there were very friendly and accommodating during our stay, would highly recommend this place to anyone. We hope to have a chance to stay here again sometime. One of the best, and relaxing vacations we've had in a long time?

Ye Olde Danish Inn has become a national and international beacon for adventurous travelers to relax in privacy and complete comfort. On the 10 acres private estate overlooking the Victorian Village of Ferndale, the Inn offers seclusion and plenty of room to breathe, while within proximity to the wonderful recreational opportunities for which the Redwood Coast is famous: redwood forests (nature’s cathedrals), secluded beaches, pristine nature preserves and lot of wildlife. As an added bonus a town that invites you to step back in time. We are located only a 4 to 5 hour scenic drive (Highway 101) north of San Francisco, CA and about 3 miles in from the Pacific ocean. We offer two very comfortable and very private suites, each with its own private balcony, overlooking beautiful views of the Victorian Village of Ferndale and the Eel River Valley.
What a wonderful place to stay. Tucked away on the hill just a couple blocks from Main Street. Private, quiet, clean, and comfortable. Uffe & Kamiko are lovely hosts without being intrusive. The property is gorgeous, with lots of birds & wildlife. Would absolutely stay there again.

For lodging near the Redwoods State Park, the Avenue of the Giants and Humboldt Redwoods State Park, Redwood Suites is your accommodation of choice. Located in the heart of the Historic Victorian Village of Ferndale, CA, and as the gateway to the Lost Coast and beaches, Redwood Suites awaits you. And only one half block away our sister inn, Victorian Inn, houses a superb dining room and tavern, the VI Restaurant.
My husband and I keep coming back to the Redwood Suites as our base for exploring the north coast of California. The beds are comfortable, the dressers allow us space to unpack, and the tops are free of clutter so we have a place to put our motorcycle helmets. The living room and dinette are nice spaces to unwind after a day outside, and the full kitchen gives us the option to self-cater our breakfasts and picnics, and refereeze our ice packs. We like to walk over to the Victorian Inn for dinner, where we’ve always had fine food and drink and excellent service. The hosts are amazing! We’ve enjoyed walking around the charming Victorian town from there, including the hillside cemetery - a colorful place when the rhododendron are blooming, offering great views. By car or cycle we’ve made day trips to the Lost Coast via close by Petrolia Road, the many coastal redwood parks, Crescent City, and more. After a days activity, a comfortable place to relax with all the comforts of home is much appreciated.

We were greeted by the owner (everyone masked and distanced) and checked in. She showed us around the beautiful home and to our room and then we never saw her again (quite different from other B&Bs I've stayed at but understandable with Covid). Our room (the Garden Room) was cute and we had our own bathroom but it was down the hall - no problem but you had to remember to take the key with every visit. The breakfast was wonderful and delicious and the chef very sweet. This home is quite unique and the grounds are beautiful. I wish we could have stayed there another day. The only issue was the bedroom was cold. The window was permanently open a few inches with a fixed screen (probably from the summer season). I just hunkered down under the covers and slept fine. I would love to go back after all this Covid is done with.
