Agroturismo Can Gaia

Ca’n Gaia is a rustic finca situated on the south east of Mallorca between the beautiful fishing village of Porto Colom and Cala D’or. The original building dates back to 1773 and a lot of the original features have been kept. The gardens and terraces have a special tranquility and a morning walk through the lemon and orange groves is a must. At Ca’n Gaia there are twelve spacious bedrooms all with private bathrooms, they are tastefully decorated in an authentic mallorquin style. The rooms have been restored maintaining their traditional style and carácter. The gardens and terraces have a special tranquility, and a morning walk through the lemon and orange groves is a must. Or you can just sit down and relax in one of the many quiet corners Ca´n Gaià has to offer. And you are able to relax at a sun bed near the pool or enjoy the Jacuzzi with a glass of wine The included organic breakfast will be served in the dining room with homegrown and local products.

Overall disappointing

We had very high expectations of this hotel, however they were not met at all.. When arriving, we did not receive any explanation about the hotel (where the pool is, breakfast time, lunch/dinner possibilities etc). We just sat there for 45min without any explanation, waiting for our room to be ready. Felt super strange. The room was very disappointing. This is an agriculturo so I understand that all rooms differ, but when you are promised a 30m2 room with a bath tub in typical Mallorcan style and you get the choice between a super small room with a very limited amount of natural light or a giant room with dead spiders at the wall and only white Ikea furniture, you tend to get very disappointed. We got upgraded to another room the second night, which was a nice gesture, but our stay was ruined already and that did not make up for it.. There were also toothpaste stains in the sink of that second room. Felt quite unhygienic, especially in COVID times. Given they washed away quite easily, it only showed that the room was not properly cleaned. The breakfast had a lot of options but did not feel super fresh. The pool was nice.

Aumallia Hotel & Spa

Sa Posada d'Aumallia is a fine example of elegant Majorcan country architecture, converted from 1991 into a small hotel. In the visitor's book we find these words: "The reception, the breakfast, the dinner ... what a personal luxury to enjoy them at the terraces and gardens by the pool ¡ The birds songs, the sound of sheep bells, the landscape...I arrived as a foreigner and am leaving as a friend".

A truly excellent hotel….

If you’re looking for a great place to rejuvenate, in beautiful countryside with excellent hosts this place is it. Run by a wonderful family and very classy, tranquil and stylish. The hosts are simply brilliant and nothing was too too much trouble for them - so much so that even when I got a flat there they even came and rescued me! The food is also excellent and delicious. Very recommended.

Pro & cons after 6 nights staying at this hotel: - the hotel has a great view, but quite tricky to reach - it's very clean but very noisy due to the big corridors that enhance the noise...a lot - staff is very friendly, expect for a chef, she has been VERY rude! - food is way below the average.. Suggested for a night, max two

Son Menut Finca

Welcome to Son Menut! Son Menut was established as a stud in Felanitx on the island of Majorca in 1993. Year after year we have introduced services and improved its facilities. Today it is an agrotourism establishment, which has been completely renovated during the year 2017-2018; with its equestrian center and more than 90 horses. In Son Menut you can enjoy the different activities of the establishment: the hotel, the restaurant and the riding school. The 12 rooms of our hotel are equipped with a private bathroom, a mini bar, a safe, an air conditioning, a television and for the majority of them a balcony with a beautiful view on the property. Breakfast is included in the reservation. At the restaurant you can enjoy a meal in the dining room or on the outdoor terrace, and discover Dexter meat, seasonal fruits and vegetables and wine produced in Son Menut. The restaurant also welcomes you to organize events. Our riding school offers a variety of horseback riding activities: riding lessons, horseback trails, and parent-supervised pony rides. For a relaxing stay, our establishment is equipped with an outdoor swimming pool and deckchairs, a wellness center (with jacuzzi, heated bench, Finnish sauna, Turkish sauna, massage room, Scottish shower and a massage service on request), and a relaxation room. To visit the island we also offer a bicycle rental service (road or mountain). In Son Menut we believe that our greatest value is the quality and the personal and familiar service that we offer to our guests. With more than 20 years in the sector, we guarantee them a holiday in a unique environment to enjoy our island in harmony with the horses and the nature that surrounds us.

Friendly, comfortable, amazing local home cooked food and tranquil

This is my second time here and it didn’t disappoint. You have a choice between more rustic finca accommodation with a cute balcony or more modern rooms. Personally I like the traditional with a relaxing bathtub. I came here on a riding week offering 12 hours riding lessons/ country hacks and full board. The food is wonderful. The breakfast buffet is full of local produce and you can ask for eggs if you fancy them. The riding lessons are great. Ask for Manu if you are a beginner and wanting to take things slowly. The lunches are a surprise. All have been wonderful. Dinner is a choice. Again, wonderful local cooking. One night is a bbq. The pool is lovely if the weather is hot. Nice walks also into two towns. Excellent customer service. Pilar on reception really cares that you are enjoying your time. Just ask if anything is bothering you and they will sort it out. My room cleaner put me a new kettle in my room when she saw I had a very old travel kettle with me. Filtered water is on tap at the bar. Do come if you love the country, animals and a traditional Mallorcan experience.
