Anaxo Resort lies at the edge of Messinian Mani, 45 km away from the city of Kalamata, and only 1 km from “Pantazi” beach. It is named after “Anaxo”, priestess of Demeter, goddess of agriculture, as it is located in an agricultural area. These are two new, luxury buildings, in total harmony with the natural environment and respect to the traditional architecture. Based on the owners’ zest and fine taste, visitor enjoys all the comfort of a luxurious hotel. Ten double rooms, (3 of them superior), all with unobstructed view to the sea and two luxurious suites, with view to both the sea and the mountain Taygetos are ready to satisfy the guests for sort or long term vacations.

Reviewed By Cara DFirst, we had no idea about this area and fell completely in love!! The hotel is rated as 3 stars, but for European standards much higher. The staff is friendly, the place is clean, the area is perfect, it was truly lovely. We stayed in the superior room. In these rooms, you could hear your neighbours, but if you put on the heat or AC unit, then its not an issue at all.. no noise at all ( it is not something that would stop me from staying, just wanted to note it here.) You are within walking distance to the village below and there are great places to cycle too. As for the stay, I have nothing but postive things to stay about this reasonably priced hotel that offers you more for less. It is like staying in a big home. There is a wonderful village ( must see) called Trachila near by. You can cycle or drive. There is best resturant along the street street side, its a must eat. There is a menu, but the husband, wife and grandmother just tell you what is fresh and newly cooked and they bring it out. Its called Akrogiali.. honestly, it is like someone is cooking in their home for you. There is also a bike rental, called BikebyMani. Not the newest bikes, but great for getting around the little area and the owner is wonderfully kind. You can cycle from Trachila to Stoupa. The bike path is beautiful and Stoupa as more restaurants and offers a great little sandy beach for little one.s. Honestly, the area and hotel are a great stay. I highly recommend it and I am picky about were I stay.

Huge price discrepancy depending on how you book.
Reviewed By keeksGenevaThis is branded under Hyatt but if you book through Hyatt, the availability is more limited and the prices are higher. Book through the hotel website instead. No other comments on the hotel. Otherwise, no issues.
