Our country house also has a swimmingpool that make easygoing the hottest summer days,… In winter, Galicia is special and sensations arise living that experience next to a wide fireplace while having dinner. Springtime and autumn are two seasons to live sensations in Pontevedra and whole “Rias Baixas” We wait for you!
I’m not sure what I enjoyed more here, the accommodations or the food, because both were excellent. Marian, the proprietor/hostess, professionally and efficiently attends to every detail. The grounds are beautiful, dinner by Miguel delicious (ditto for breakfast), and my room quiet and comfortable. We were pampered pilgrims for two nights! The hotel is located a short drive off the Camino Português.

This is a lovely hotel with excellent hosts who go out of their way to make guests feel welcome. The breakfast is very good. The building has been lovingly restored and the garden is a haven of peace. Local attractions and amenities are within walking distance. A great find for weary travellers. Access only from the centre of a quiet town We intended to stop for 1 night and happily extended it to 2. We would thoroughly recommend Fonteverde.

Termas de Cuntis is one of the most traditionally spas in Galicia and has become one of the biggest resorts devoted to spa therapy in Spain. It consists of two four-star hotels, Hotel La Virgen and Castro do Balneario and a building totally devoted to spa therapy. All the resort is surrounded by 50.000 m2 of private gardens, which delight you.
We stayed here 5 nights in August 2013 for a local wedding. It is classed as a 4* hotel. The room we were given was spacious. We arrived and hoped to get a glass of wine to wind down after the journey. We were told that there was no bar at the hotel. The first night we went for dinner, no information prior to sitting down. Each course there were only 2 choices, First course was a soup or vegetables. I thought some of my vegetables looked as presented were tinned. The main course was a choice of a tortilla (omellette) or fish. Each day our water temperture in our shower flunctuated whilst taking a shower. There was an outdoor pool in the grounds but it was out of use all of the time we were there except for the last afternoon. Each day we would ask reception if it was in use, each day they would say it would need some parts. There was never a manager about to ask, and the receptionists were not too interested in helping clients. It appeared to us that the 2 hotels were only focused on their home (local) clientale who were there for the local waters. They have little local competition and seem happy to operate as they presently do We did go down to the spa on our last day because we had been told the pool was still off-limits to find it was closed from 1.30-4.00 in the afternoons. No one had thought we would need to know that. This was quite an expensive hotel to stay in, breakfast, as often in Spain is extra. We went to a really caring, helpful hotel in Madrid afterwards. The hotel is a sister of the Hotel Virgen next door. Most of the the clientele are there for the traditional health spa. They do not seem to be much interested in the needs of guests who are not staying there for that reason.

Pension Pura, in the heart of the town of Cuntis, Pontevedra province, offers the possibility to spend a relaxing holiday with good quality service. The building of more than 150 years, fully restored and adapted to the needs of our customers, offers the possibility to enjoy sightseeing in the area, and more specifically, due to its excellent location, thermal tourism.

Hotel La Virgen is the most important building in the quiet village of Cuntis. Surrounded by huge gardens, it shows the profile of the Galician “pazos”, originally designed by Mr. Antonio Palacios. It has been renovated in 2006 becoming a modern tourist resort with direct connection with the Spa. Apart from all the comforts of a four-star hotel, you can also enjoy the traditional Galician food.
This hotel is rated as a 4 stars, but is not. It needs renovation and up date. My friend and I when there after a Camino walk day and we were looking for an A/C room. In this area (Galicia), it is hard to find it as only a few hotels offered. at night we have informed the front desk the A/C was not performing very well. They have sent someone to look at it. In the middle of the night, A/C was not working at all. Warm woke up us and had hard time to sleep again. In the morning, we let them know our frustration and disappointment and ask to be discounted. They told us that we should call them at that time and they would changed us if room. In the middle of the night, who is thinking to change of room???? Customer service was very horrible. The even can't speak English, please! You are working in a touristic area!!! If you are looking to spend time in a thermal spa and hotel, you should not look at this one. We have friends who have booked a cheapest thermal hotel and had better experience .
